Some gas mileage questions

I recently bought a '01 Civic EX. I'm not sure if I'm getting good gas mileage or not. Last time I filled up, I got 385 miles. I filled up right after the low fuel light came on, and the car took ~10.2 gallons. I do drive mostly highway, so if it's in the mid to high 30's like it seems to be, I'm happy. However, the thing that bugs me is the tank capacity is 13.2 gallons according to the owner's manual iirc. Does the fuel light actually come on with ~3 gallons left in the tank and I could drive another 100 miles before really having to get gas or am I messing something up here?
