tint question on rear deck
tint question on rear deck
I am actually curious to ask this.
I tinted my car a while back and i have the beige interior, and they weren't able to tint all the way down b/c they couldn't reach. now i have a spoiler.
do any of you know how you can get guys to tint all the way down, b/c i am going to go darker on the tints and i want it all the way down in the back this time. thanks
or just post your tints and how they were done, pics w/e thanks in advance

Umm a good tint place should be able to tint the whole back window including the third brake light. I got mine tinted and it's sweet, didn't even have to ask them. They just did it and I picked it up at the end of the day.
You can probably tell them to tint the third brake light as well if you want too. IMO it'll look better that way.

that's pretty cool. today i called to get an estimate. i have tints already they are 22% but i am not happy i want darker. he said 89 for the 5% but then to take them off it would be 124 dollars. then i factored in the rear deck, and i think i might just hve to take it off so they can do it. what do you guys think+
have them take off the old tint, they will also clean off the residue, etc... i had to have my tint re-done a few times and i wouldn't have had it done any other way. if you started to peel it all off and didn't get all of it, there probably going to charge you anyway to clean off the residue, glue, etc.... they obviously do that for a living, let them do their job.

yeah, just take the deck off yourself before you take it in and they will get the whole thing, just be careful putting it back on too soon . You could scratch the tender tint....
I had my car tinted a few times and the shop that does it removes the rear deck in order to do the job right and not half a**. Of course I paid a little more, $150 but then it's worth it. Oh since were talking about tint do you guys think it's ugly to have the back window tinted at 35% (lighter) and have the sides tinted 2%?. Hawaiis tint law is 35% tint all around. AT least with the back being lighter i could always roll the windows down when i see a cop behind me. What you guys think?
to me it seems it won't look right but to each their own. i am going to remove the rear deck myself and take in. i researched taking the tint off and its not hard but i don't have the time i am going to get 5% i have my whole front tinted 32%
