Question Do YOU "warm" your car?

Do you warm your car up before you leave?

I always do, always have. Esp. these days since I don't drive my ride daily.

I think I could count the times on one hand that I was in big rush and couldn't warm my '02 sedan Even when I didn't warm it, I'd stay under like 2500 rpm until the oil temp moved passed "C".

You guys cannot tell me different! I know this is best from experience.

everytime i drive my car i warm it up....in the winter i let it warm up at least 10 min......in the summer about 2-3 min, maybe more.

If i go to the mall and it is cold out, when i come back out i let it warm up for a few minutes.

Plus i always let it cool down a couple minutes b4 shutting it off.

I warm it up for about 5 minutes during the winter, and I don't warm it up during the summer.

I let it run for about 1 1/2 minutes. I'd let it warm up a little bit longer, but I'm always late.

Only in the winter time.. Summer, it's hot out and places to go.. so no need to warm it during that time of the year.

not smart, you should always warm your car up. EVEN your beloved honda engines will spring leaks if you dont warm em' up. if it is a habit i gaurantee you will have an oil leak before 40,000.

and for those of you who think just because you live in a hot climate doesnt mean your engine is going to be warm. itll warm up faster but its still not warm yet. warm to you (75 F) is not even close to warm for your engine (couple hundred degrees)

I wait until the car reaches running temp before I go over 3K, and I always let my car sit for 30 seconds to aminute before I move it.

In the summer I let it run for about 2 min. In the winter I let the car warm up from 5 to 10 min. Mostly because I am lazy and just go start it then finish getting ready in the morning and when I go out its nice and warm ..... .

Yes... I'm rarely in that much of a hurry plus I want everything to flow smoothly... I normally warm it up for 3 minutes or more in the morning and a minute or two in the afternoon.

PWN3D (by uber N00B)!!!

this is not the equation
temp outside to you = temp of what car should be

Engine damage is mostly caused by cold starts every morning, regardless if its hot or cold outside. Warming up your car lets oil circulate through your engine, much less other things... damn, common guys... that's just shameless to treat your cars like ****. I mean what's at least 1-2 minutes? If you're late, it doesnt matter anyway, you're late! Given I have a remote starter, I can start it up easily every morning. But when I turn my alarm off some nights, I still let it warm up for like 5 minutes every morning. Just cause "its a Honda" doesnt mean you have to treat it "like a Kia"

Always 1st Gear for me.
I always warm up my car during winter.
At least 5 minutes. So, Heater actually blows warm air.
30 Secs to 1 minute during summer.

Oh yeah, revving it up to "warm it up" faster isnt doing it any good either, you might as well just run it cold and not waste ur time lol

revving to warm it up defeats the purpose. the oil hasnt circulated enough, its just as bad as not warming it up at idle.
