unless you have a welder and know how to bend the metal to blend perfecty to go along the crease the runs along the door, there is no way you can do that yourself. i think any 75 lb door popper should do the trick. you just have to worry about the poppers freezing in the cold weather we get here in ohio

i dont know how much it would cost, but i know they would have to repaint the whole door if you want the paint on the shaved part to match the rest of the car.

no, they just match and paint where the handle is and diffuse it all over the door, then they clear coat it completly..

no special deal.

I got mine done, but repainting the whole car. It shouldn't be $1000 or anything like that.

90 Bucks a door? I think you just got your key holes shaved for that type of money, not the handles.

I want to hear from InOvAtStyL on what he had to do when they put his widebody on since it covers his door handles for the insta shave.

u install acutators with a electronic keypad....it works just like keyless entry. Also, you should have mechanical popper hidden somewhere.

My handles are still there, they are simply covered by the new panel that was added to make the widebody. If I was to remove the panel, it'll be as if I never did anything to the door, handles and all. I did however have to mold in the panel to the door aside from riveting it. I get in and out of my car by an automated window roll down or by my door poppers. I installed a 75lb autoloc actuator.

usually runs 250-350 per hole from shave to paint + door poper cost. check auto locks website for current price.

ps dont forget to have a manual poper somewhere incase battery dies etc.

I have a scratch and some dents on my door. So they can still fix it and match the paint without doing the whole door? I also may get the side mouldings shaved.
