N E Insurance Experts???

Well I got into and accident last week and my car is sitting in front of my house. I am not sure if I should claim it or not. I was the only one involved in the accident. I got cut off by a truck and I swerved. I dont want my insurance rates to go up so is there any way that I can claim it so they wont hold me at fault? The police didnt write a report because no one else was involved and I couldnt get the trucks license plate. N e advice??? Thanks..

If you make a claim they will most likely raise your rate, but depends on a lot of things like your age, location, driving history, etc. How much damage is there and is it still driveable?

Theres isnt too much damage. Its just going to take some money to fix. Like one of my coilovers have a bent arm where it connects to the steering tie rod. I also need to replace the tie rod also cause the endlink of it broke off and half of the screw is still inside the tie rod. I also need one new rim. And thats about it. If i want to spend more money then I should get my bumper repainted but I dont think I am going to do that.

depends how bad your damage is. personally, i would not claim anythign of insurence unless it was more then $1500. if its around that then just use a credit card to pay for the repair or else you'll be paying high insurence for a while.

atleast with a credit card you'll pay it off quick but with insruence you'll be paying it off for a while.

just my opinion.

Yeah it also depends on what your limits are and how much damage you're willing to live with. A new steelie and endlink are cheap. Possibly a new coilover and the body repair though might make this decision a little tougher. If you're that strapped for cash don't use insurance and live with some body damage.
