RHD conversion
Does anyone know where I can get a RHD conversion kit for a 2001 Civic EX? I have seen it for a 98 Civic hatch, but I cant seem to find one for me... Any help would be most appreciated...
email this guy...j-garage.com...and let him know what you want and he'll try to find it...he's in japan and it'll have to come out of a 4dr...let me know if thats the right address..it might be js-garage.com
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

I talked to a guy at Ultimate Auto Boutique in ATL, Ga about this last year when we had a 7thgen meet there. They do all of that type of custom work. He said they usually get another car that is RHD and cut it just behind the firewall and then attach it to your car. It doesn't sound too structurally safe, but that's what he said they do.

It is both for show and for me.... In my quest to be different and have a unique civic that breaks away from everyone else's, I'd like to get RHD... It's going to be mostly just for my own satisfaction...

not worth it. would cost thousands of dollars. not only do you have to import an dash from japan or somewhere, but you have to move all the pedals, redo the wiring for the ecu which is located under the glove box, weld up the hole for your steering column on the left side and cut into the firewall to install the steering column in there. it is a huge waste of money and not worth it all all. not to mention all the small things you would need to do like moving the auto power window switches and sun roof aitches over to the other side. plus you would have to accommodate on the right side of your engine bay for the steering rod. all in all it is about the biggest waste of money and you are not going to find a scrapped rhd 7thgen anytime soon, so in all reality this will never happen unless you move to another country and get a car from there.

thread from the dead the last post in this thread was from 2004!
^ your guys **** is not legit cause the only person in the country that has any idea about how to do it on a 7thgen is me. they are not like the old 5th and 6thgen's were you could just get the dash and bolt it up and hang the pedals. you have to revamp the whole firewall and do a bunch of other stuff.
