S2000, why.... Because I'd endup autocrossing it and the pre 04 S2000 is the top dog in B-Stock, but the Sti isnt compeditive in A-Stock. Even though the Sti should be faster then the S2000. If its a 04+ then both are in A-Stock... and nither are all that compeditive in that class so....... probably the Sti.

So to recap.

Pre 2004 S2000 over the Sti
Sti over the 2004+ S2000

I'd have to go with the S2000... just because i love the style and i think with some work it'd be a lot more fun of a car than the sti.. but it'd have to have the hard top option... that way i could get the best of both worlds with a vert and a hardtop...

For the kind of weather here. I'd go with the STi, and I do tend to carry cargo most of the time. So that's a positive.

But I'd take the S2K for summer weekend fun.

In terms of autocross, how is the 2004 S2K doing, and is it still in B-stock? I'd think that the newer generation would do better an autocross with that extra displacement and slightly reworked suspension?

S2000 for sure I look at everything when buying a car, speed, options, style, aftermarket, and most important if I can work on the damn thing!! I will not work on a STI way more of a pain, you should all know that....OHHH and almost forgot "Reliability"!!!

As much as I love the S2000, I'd probably have to go with the STi if it was my own money. A stereo in the trunk would ruin any practicality the S2000 could pretend to have, bike racks don't look good on small roadsters, and since it snows here, RWD < AWD.

S2000 no questions asked. The only down fall is not being able to tote crap around.

If you need to then i would get the STI cuz its pimp to but if it didnt matter the the s2k no doubt.

definitely the S2000, i love the car, i know for a fact better gas mileage, has vtec for speed and sound, girls love an S2000 more than an STI, looks better, hard top option or rag top, more and better not to mention easier aftermarket options, same top speed as the STI, better handling, just frekin' better man.........but i live in warm weather though!

the only reason i would choose the STI over the S2000 would be for snowy weather conditions, and that is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

AMEN brother!

Dont for get about the extra 428LBS that the STi has over the S2000..... Kina makes that 60 More Hp not matter.

i don't know... i think i'd go STI actually. S2000 looks sweet though.

i think i'd take an RSX-S over either though, just cuz i feel it's a good balance between looks and adequate power. cheaper too.

S2k - My dad had the original ('99) w/plastic rear window, and when we dropped the top and hit VTEC crossover, I felt like Michael Schmacher. Goin' 148 mph topless is something the STI can never duplicate stock. Plus, it looks cherry and is WAY more dependable than the Scoobie ever will be.
