I don't know about you guys. New Corollas are ugly.
The new Corolla XRS will be powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder DOHC engine that produces 170 horsepower and 127 pounds of torque.
My Cousin has 03 Corolla S. Car is soo Uncomfortable.

Rep Power: 0 ^^ i don't know about the normal corolla since it's only a 3hp deficit from the civic. i don't think it would make that much of a difference. but the xrs corolla WILL rape our civics. corollas are decent cars, just give me the high end corollas cuz i hate those plastic black mirrors and side moldings. i would only drive a toyota and a honda regardless.
Nothing works better than a Chris except a Honda.

It's powerful compared to what our cars are pushing. I like it a whole lot better than the S that they call a sportier version... I know someone that has a new Corolla. It's decent and has more low end power but it doesn't feel sporty, it's too comfortable.

My mom has an 04 corolla. They are just as nice as civics except for horrible ergonimics.

errr ok, but you only fit in a corolla if you have multiple birth defects and arms and legs of different lenghts.
The arm rest on the door and center console differnt heights.
the dead petal leaves your left leg like 5 inches closer than your right
the stearing column does not telescope and it is fixed in a positon leaving your arms fully extended and legs all crunched up
and a personal dislike for me is that the seating position seems crazy high.
come on toyota! those are all easy fixes

Rep Power: 396 Are you guys kidding me. I looked at the Corolla right before I traded in my civic...I was going to get the S model. The interior is much more comfortable than the civic, and much nicer. The exterior is rounder ans sportier also...the car is quicker too. I loved the corolla over the civic. You could tell the corolla was built better also...The doors slam with such a tight sound, much better compared to the tinny sound of the civic doors slamming.
I know I am going to get flamed for my opinion, and I dont care....I have owned 4 honda's, and the next car I would buy will be a toyota. I think they are a much better made car....Oh and the XRS is HOT!!!!!!

Rep Power: 0 word. the only decent competitors for the civic as of now is the Corolla reliability wise, maybe looks. lookwise i think the 3 is cool except the trunk of the 4 door 3. i like the hatch 3 better. back to the topic. corollas are nice cars, one thing i dont like thou is the tailights, it looks cheap. i would love it if it has a red/clear tailights and that would be hotttt !!! yeh i would like to drive a xrs with 170 hp, we get the quality of toyota all over it.

Well, it's all opinion, but I just think that if I had to choose between say a 4 door civic and a 4 door corolla, I'd get the corolla. However...I like my coupe much more than either of them.
