2000 Lincoln LS?
I am concidering perchasing a 2000 Lincoln LS V6 Sport (5 speed manual). I say the V6 because of the near 50/50 weight balance and the 0-60 time is almost exactly the same as the V8 model. The price range is $12000-$15750 US ($15000-$20000 Canadian). I'm looking for more of a comfortable car, leather, heated seats, ect. Think that it would be a good choice for the price?
my boss at work bought a 2001 v6 auto and man he let me drive it in the parking lot and that thing hauls ***. i even did a burn out on accident from the accerlation cuz im use to my civic. lol he has leather and all the features. he bought it at carmax for like 18,000. i like it. good choice.
I like those cars. I seen one at Barret Jackson with all carbon fiber interior. I think it was the V8 cause it rumbled.
I priced it on KBB.com. You never said how many miles were on it so I gave it 12,000 miles a year.
Engine: V6 3.0 Liter
Trans: Automatic
Drive: Rear Wheel Drive
Mileage: 48,000
Equipment
Air Conditioning
Power Steering
Power Windows
Power Door Locks
Tilt Wheel
Cruise Control
AM/FM Stereo
Cassette
Dual Front Air Bags
Front Side Air Bags
ABS (4-Wheel)
Leather
Dual Power Seats
Alloy Wheels
Consumer Rated Condition: Excellent
"Excellent" condition means that the vehicle looks great, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. It should pass a smog inspection. The engine compartment should be clean, with no fluid leaks. The paint is glossy and the body and interior are free of any wear or visible defects. There is no rust. The tires are the proper size and match and are new or nearly new. A clean title history is assumed. This is an exceptional vehicle.
Private Party Value $13,875
Private Party value represents what you might expect to pay for a used car when purchasing from a private party. It may also represent the value you might expect to receive when selling your own used car to another private party.

I just like those cars, in general. They're one of the best looking luxery American sedans, in my opinion. Probably only second to the Caddy CTS, and that's kind of an acquired taste.
Anyway, for that kind of price, I think it's a very good choice. I always thought they'd cost a lot more than that.

My dad had a Lincoln with air-ride back in the day, so here is my advice to you (if the LS has that air susp) get rid of it when it's under six or eight years old unless you want to replace **** that works those bags all the friggen time. They're at least $500 a pop, and after a while, it's not worth the luxory anymore.

Ya I don't believe that air-bags come stock on the LS, it's based off of a Jaguar chassis and it's shared with the new Thunderbirds. Air bag's would be phat though, my grandpa has a old mid-50's 4 door Caddy with bags, it'd be a nice project if he'd give it up before the shed falls on it. Thanks for the site Bellz, they seem to have some good info on the LS's.
