To add one more thing... If you want the EX really work them with the price. The sticker should be 17.5 or 18(which is high), but you can get them down to about 15.5k(Especially if you want a stick). The sticker on the LX should be around that price, so if you're smart in negotiating it's really a no brainer when it come to EX vs LX.
If you're low on cash, you could really get them lower on an LX, but don't accept anything very far from LX sticker price for an EX.

well my wife works for HONDA finance and she gets all prices for vehicles (what the dealer pays for and stuff) and your prices are a lil low My 2001 LX 4DR Auto,I got the car for Cost and added Lo-Jack and 7yr 70,000 mile warranty. came to about $17,400 with taxes and such.

wow then you paid a hell of alot less than the dealer did to buy it! good buy..My wife was showing me the prices for the RSX too and the dealer pays $18,000 for the base model and it retails at $20,000.I don't think prices that the dealers get the cars for are different accross the country so you got a wicked deal for that price.
my ex coupe was $17,500 even though im not supposed to know that.. it was a surprise but my parents left the dealer price thing they hang on the rearview mirror in it on accident...
Lease a car if your gonna wanna get a new one in 2 years and not really modify it or do liek me and buy it for 5 years then you can do what you want,or use it as a hefty trade in for a better car.
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

Maybe I've got the bigtime haggling skills...
vtec really does make a difference. when you are moving and you punch it, it makes a lot of difference. my fiance has an ex and i have an lx. Hers is faster when we race from moving, but exactly the same when we go from a stop. both of us have automatics too. manual is a little faster in both.
I couldn't have gotten ANYTHING besides the EX manual with VTEC. We actually went to the dealer planning to leave with the Accord coupe, but being able to finance so much less was just too appealing! We had a pretty large down payment so going with the less expensive Civic was a good financial decision.
