Robear Racing Tornactive (a general concern)

plz post on general auto ramblings!!!!!

I bought some headlights at Robear Racing and one of the headlights had a defect. One of the light socket holes was to small, and the socket would not fit. Because of this i asked Robear if i could get a return slip so i could get a replacement for my faulty headlight. They told me this:

"Unfortunately those headlamps carry no warranty. I can send you a new harness, to see if it will work. Alot of members just notch out the other two holes and it works fine. I apologize about the headlamp, but the manufacturer does not make these DOT/SAE certified. They are for Show only."

First of all what does a warranty have to do with a return policy. Nothing. A warranty covers a product over a certain period of time. A return policy is if something is faulty one can return it .

Second of all this ******* new that this PRODUCT WAS FAULTY and still sold it. This is given away when he says that some memebers just notch the holes out (and it is hard then it looks because it requires cutting and filing molded plastic.)

Lasty even though it is for show, i still would like a quality product for show!!!

THESE ****S SELL FAULTY PRODUCTS AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THEM, TO ALL OF THOSE LOOKING TO BUY DON'T GO TO ROBEAR, AND IT IS SAD THAT THEY ARE A SPONSOR AT THIS SITE!!!!!!

Im sorry you are having problems with him. Mine experience was nothing like that...

When I delt with him I had an absolutely flawless experience. I ordered, he shipped out quickly, and had great customer service with a more than willing attitude to help me. My only problem was that of UPS when they dropped my midpipe in the street and left. LOL, but I called him and was more than willing to help me and if i wanted to send it back he would send me another one.

I do understand your frustration. I see both sides of the story. He is saying thats how they all are and thats why it is not DOT approved etc. and I also understand your view of that if the product is defective he should stand behind his parts.

If I were you I would be pissed, but that is what you get when you buy off name parts.

i emailed him 4 days ago about my order and he still hasnt gotten back to me. not bashing him, just throwing that out, also. i like to have communication with people that i buy things from.
