Toyota Pod
Not enough passion in your Camry? Sony teamed up with Toyota to design the Pod, a car that can read your emotions and account for them. Its two headlights have eyelids and tears, and the u-shaped LEDs on the panel between them change color to represent "happy," "sleepy," "sad," and "angry." Inside, four tall chairs swivel to "welcome," "communication," and "drive" modes and a handheld Sony device determines your mood and adjusts the car's attitude accordingly, by selecting the interior lighting and music. It gets better: just below the backlight of this motorized mood ring, which looks like a big four-door BMW Isetta, is a tail that wags at you when you're ready to drive, or wags at other motorists when you pass. Makes the Begin Funkybox look downright subtle, doesn't it?

Does it get pissed? Like if you steal the car and drive it off a suspension bridge into a freezing cold lake, do the windshield wipers go off and make it cry? Because if I owned that car it would only be to beat it senseless like a red-headed stepchild....

I think some one needs to find the person designing these cars for Toyota and wake them up with a good swift knock to the head with a brick. lol

That's stupidest looking car and the dumbest idea I've ever heard. If the car could read my feelings toward it right now, it would drive off a cliff.

Damn... I had a dream about that car last night. It was like I was watching tv, and the damn car was bouncing around like Herbie or some cartoon... I hang out on this site too much.
I was wondering about the seats swiveling and stuff, if I was driving the car and then I talk to my friend next to me, will my seat swivel to his direction? like 45 degrees...lol if that happened while on a highway, guess what would happen? and I don't think the U shaped different color lights would pass as legal LOLOL

id get the mood reading thing and put it in a normal car and hook it up to some neons that would change color depending on mood. the whole tail wagging thing is whack! but it would be cool if there was a holographic display in the rear view window that would show people you pass the tongue. HAHAHA
Perhaps they could make it have a max speed of 200mph--so that when I'm pissed at the slow-a$$ car, I only have to biatch slap it once to go faster instead of spending hundreds of dollars on aftermarket products.
I think given a few years that kind of thing will not be uncomon in most all cars.
Right now the car can remember your seat placement (on motorized seats) etc. So why not one that rememebrs your radio settings, ac/heat, the music you listen to etc.
THen when you get it, it knows whats up.
I want a car that tells me I look good today.
