Distortion through ground line

So, I'm getting some noise comming through my speakers when my car accelerates and decelerates. Since the 7th gen's engine is grounded to the frame, I figure the noise is comming from my amp ground, which is grounded to the frame also. If you have any good ideas on how to get rid of this, without using a DC noise filter, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Keep your ground wire down to 12" or less. A chassie ground is the best meathod of grounding your system. If you are getting alternator noise when your RPM's increase and decrease, try to make sure all of your wires are properly connected, and you have a SOLID ground. Your wires that come from your head unit should run down one side of your car and your power wire should come down the other. Good grounds and proper connections are key. I was getting a niose from mine and I found out that I had a bad right front RCA comming from the radio.
