What model?
I live in the UK and own a 2001 Civic coupe, looking for parts etc on the internet I've found that in other parts of the world there are several trim/equipment levels (DX,LX and HX) whereas here in the UK we only have 1. What is the UK model = to?
It has a 5sp box, A/C, Electric sunroof/windows, electric heated wing mirrors, front fogs, spoiler, ventilated discs all round with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist, a 1.7 (D17A9) sohc v-tec producing 125ps (ps is metric version of bhp, it works out at something like 122-3bhp but don't quote me on that!)
If anyone could tell me which model this best relates to I'd be grateful,
cheers

It would be more comparable to an Acura EL in Canada. The EXs don't have heated mirrors or Brake Assist or 4 wheel disc brakes. This should be in General Rambings.

Sorry about that, I missed that post! basically it is an EX with some extra stuff, like the Acura EL in Canada, if ya don't have acura, well...just look at Canada's Acura website. The US EX doesn't have all the stuff i listed, but they both have the same engine. If ya want parts for the engine then the EX model parts would be the ones you are looking for. Look at your engine code. If it says D17A2 then it is an EX Vtec motor...you have Vtec right?

question, if the uk do in fact have 4 wheel disc brakes then is it possible to do the conversion here for the back wheels on a ex here?
definitely possible, i seen it done already, i think some guy used an 02 Si hatch rear assembly on his 7th gen. Im sure if you can get your hands on that UK civic or Acura EL setup, that it would be easy to do. I dont think there is an actual aftermarket kit yet. Im sure someone like AEM is going to make one soon hopefully considering they have the rear conversion for the EK.

Yes it is possible. The question i don't know the answer to is if the UK or EL brakes are 4 or 5 lug. It will probably all be the same either way. Hondaluver swapped out the front and rear brakes from an Si, but we are getting off topic. If you want to know more info about that then PM him.
Again, if you want to look for engine parts, check the engine code. If it is d17a2 then EX parts should work. Suspension parts are all pretty much the same.

Ok it's nowhere near to an Acura EL....first it's not a 4 door, and second I don't believe he said he had leather...if I saw a pic of his front bumper, I might say it's similar to the Acura EL's front considering he may have that foglight setup....
If anything I'd say it's an EX coupe with heated mirrors and 4 wheel disc brakes...
