Everyone moving on from the civic?
I still have my civic, but I remember getting my civic in Dec of 2000. It feels not very long ago, but my mileage shows it. I was just thinking though, alot of people I used to see post have not posted in a loooong time. So it seems that maybe alot of people are moving on. Alot of new RSX and WRX owners too. Well just wondering if maybe anyone else noticed the trend.
PS I took some pics of the mazdaspeed, but they're on my friends digi cam and he still needs to put them on a disc for me. I'll have them up for you guys ASAP.

Hey it's not that, I needed a second car, but my family basically took over the civic payments. So really it's not mine per se, but I still drove it all day today haha...need to get insurance and registration finalized on the mazda..
You're right. It does seem this way. Everyone is either getting an RSX (like me
) or a WRX. I don't know. I want an RSX because it is a faster car and is more luxirious than a Civic. Don't get me wrong, a Civic is very nice, but it is too practical for me. That's why I bought mine to start with because it is practical. One day, I installed an AEM SR Intake, from then on, I was hooked. I wanted more mods and speed, but then I decided I want a new car. This puts me to today where I am currently saving up for my RSX. Nuff said!

I too will be rockin' the Vic for a LONG time...then after I have my career...the Vic becomes a "Project car" (K20A2 BABY!!) and I get a nice "Luxury" car for the daily driver.
After plenty of tickets and insurance hikes..I actually traded in the fast cars for the civic. I can roll past a cop and not get a second glance. My BMW however seemed to get me pulled at least once a month. Besides..if I want speed..I take my bike out for a spin. Lets see a RSX or WRX or even a Viper keep up with me (although 1 guy in a twin turbo Vette did stay with me)

I'm taking a different route. I need my Civic to be around for like, 10 years b/c it is very practical especially since I have a 4 door. That allows me to not worry about not having a daily driver in the future. Hopefully in a few years, I'll have enough for a WRX for a weekend driver....
Yep after my Civic is done I'm going to save for a WRX!
I want that car so bad..my friend she has an 04' Black one..very very nice..I wouldn't mind shoveling the extra bucks for that..
I love my Civic and all since it is my first Civic and 2nd car I've had..but wow..I love the WRX

I traded in my civic for a 2001 Blazer. 100 times better interior than the civic IMO. Plus I need the space and 4wd. I didn't want a truck, so i got a nice small SUV

Well I will have my civic 'till after I graduate. Probably by then though, I wont sell the car. I love my car, end of story. If I had to buy a rsx,wrx,etc... I wouldn't trade my civic in for it! But in all honesty I don't think it would be rsx or wrx though... maybe a tsx or something like that, something with class and power.

That brought him down a notch, lol. I warned him not to race a bike, but he said "Shut up man, what do you know, you bought a CIVIC!" I just laughed at him, and he now respects my opinion, lol.

Personally, when I bought the Civic, it was to simplify my life. Car payments, insurance, and maintanence can become a real drag. My Civic is comfortable, since it has all the power accessories, great on gas, reliable, and cost efficient. Every time I think about a Celica or RSX, I realize that the extra 200-300 dollars a month can go to something that will make more fun.
Plus my Civic has been everywhere with me, Savanah, Florida, accross the country to California, Vegas, it has always been a fun car to drive. Plus the 14 gallon fill ups were a total blessing. I have had nicer cars, but why worry about the extra cost.
