transition from a 127 inline 4 to a 240 v6

i drive an '04 civic. with my needs and being 16 and a new driver, its little engine is perfect for me. great car i love it.

anyways, i went to pick my mom up from park and ride, so my dad lets me drive the family's '03 v6 accord AT. i knew it had 240 horsepower and at least 200 lb-ft of torque, but never experienced it (my parents are conservative drivers ).

anways, it had rained about 2 hours ago so the ground was a bit wet. i went around a corner and the car shifted to second gear current speed at about 20 MPH, then i floored it, it downshifted to first, hitting first at about 4900 RPM, then spun the wheels a little (i turned TCS off ), heard VTEC engage (no DOHC VTEC scream cause its only a SOHC v6), then revved all the way to redline. after my little surge, my heart was racing, and i was paranoid about cops. i have gained all-new respect for my family's car.

just thought i'd share. new experiecce for me wowza. a 6-speed would've been even better....

Yup. i Traded my old Civic (01 Si in canada. so 127HP EX with Si rims basically). for a CL Type-S and what a difference. haha. get the accord on the highway to really appreciate the power. My CL-S is best between about 50mph and 110mph.

is it a sedan or coupe? *drool* the coupe is oh-so-sexy...

either way, for both the sedan and coupe......the interior is soooo nice. my mom has a 2000 v6 accord, and man, the interior is "nice," but the new ones make it look like a korean car

I got to drive my girlfriends dad's BMW 540 I, THAT thing could haul ***, they have a 5.4 liter v-8
Another one of my freinds brothers has a Trans Am with a 5.7 liter v-8, that cars acceleration in 6th gear from 20 mph was the same as my civics when I was in 2nd gear going 20mph...
Both those cars were really powerfull, but a good driver behind the civic could totally outclass them on an autox circuit.

you mean 4.4 liter V8. not 5.4. 4.4 liter, 282 hp, 6psd manual. yay for 5 series .

I just test drove a 2004 280 hp V6 G35 coupe. Man that engine is strong. That car made a believer out of me. That Nissan 3.5 Liter V6 is a monster. No wonder they put it in almost every car. I'd love to get behind the wheel of a 350 Z. 7 extra hp and less weight. And I drove that car with a 200 lb sales guy! I am going to test drive a 350 Z this weekend!

Yup i want a v6 accord coupe my friend here at work just got one
ge got a black coupe v6 six speed with leather navi and voice command **** pit its way dope and way fast . I went to the dealer the other day to see how much they were . there pretty cheap well for the luxury and performance you get they are cheap for a middle aged person who works a full time job but for a 19 year old working part time and school full time i could never afford one . I heard one with exhaust the other day they sound way tight sounds like a porsche or something .

My current car is the V6 6 speed navi accord coupe. That thing is so much car for the money. I think it's one of the best deals you can get.
