if you want to get the most of out your Civic, i'd suggest parting your car out and selling it stock.
have you consider trading it in? if it's paid off, you'll get around the same amount (maybe just slightly cheaper) and go thru less hassle of trying to sell. but if you want to sell, you'll have a larger group of people interested if it's as close to stock as possible. the only people who buy hooked up cars already hooked up would be another car enthusiast, like yourself. besides the funnest part of hooking your car up is doing everything yourself. so the only person that would be interested in a car that's already done up, would be somebody lazy.
now, in terms of what you should get. you mentioned an AWD car a little faster than your civic. WRX ALL THE WAY! with the amount of the trade in or sell, plus any cash you have saved up can buy you a brand new 2004. of course, if you dont want a car payment every month; you could always buy a used or certified WRX. and if that model is too expensive, go with the RS model (Subuaru Imprezza RS). it's the model under the wrx. either one is an excellent choice! RS = no turbo......wrx = turbo. that's the only difference.
just my $0.02.

Yeah go with a Subaru WRX or 2.5 RS, Sentra Spec V or SE-R, or RalliArt Lancer.
i know the Sentra and Lancer arent AWD but still better faster cars then the Civic, and they are pretty affordable

No one like's the Evo VIII? I agree, it's off the rice-o-meter, but you could replace the hood and spoiler and have a good looking performance machine with room for 5. Its already in the 14's stock and has killer handling, better than the WRX Sti...
if you want a truck go with the Ram 1500 Hemi, 350hp for only like 16-18k, lookin for awd faster than civic get wrx but its 25 adn thats 10k more than a civic, so basically u cant really get a awd car thats much faster than the civic for around the same price, reg imprezza isn't much faster if any, i dunno much so dont take my advice

You, sir, are being ignorant. First of all, how is the EVO VIII rice? I'd like to know. The hood and wing are both functional. Nice try though. And past that, we're naming cars that were less than $25K. This is a Civic website. How many people here do you think has the money to throw down for a $30K car? Not many.

they say the wing is useful over 100 mph and I don't know too many people that will drive it that fast regularly. Anyhow the Sti and Evo have those wings to distinguish themselves from the other cars as well as appeal to the crowds. I know they're dumb, but look around and see how many ugly wings are on the raod today. Anyhow I took an STi over 90 and the wing starts rattling/ bouncing up and down as well as the hood scoop. First thing I would do is get rid of em.
As for the car thing, save the vic or go out (if you have the $) and buy a new WRX. This way you have full warranty. The used ones (for the most part) have been abused and driven hard. You can get a new one for a little over $21k. An 03' model on a lot cause they're making room for 04's.

go to www.carsdirect.com they save lots of money on new cars, saw a mustang gt thats 25k for only 20k there, u can save a lot on the ram hemi too
ok its $19k for a regular cab 4x4 ram 1500 hemi if you go through carsdirect.com its prob only a lil more for the double cab (extra row of seats), the price changes every now and then a few months ago it was 18k now its 19, like the wrx was 23 back then now its 22k but you can prob get it cheaper through your dealer, just print it out and they'll match it or maybe even beat it
