4. gas mileage is worse
5. rsx costs more $
6. my car is paid off now! yea!
1)yeah the low end torque numbers aren't the highest, but at least they are higher than the civic and they weigh
almost exactly the same.Plus have you ever jumped on an RSX-S from a stop.I don't know about you but i can go 0-80 in no time flat. The car just outright screams! SO i don't really care what the torque numbers are,it gets the job done!

2) I think the civic coupe design is fugly, the really long doors make it look kinda goofy, where as the RSX looks alot more like a sports coupe (which it is).

3)try riding in an 05 RSX they redid all the suspension and frame and the ride is alot smoother and a hell of alot quieter than my civic.

4) gas mileage is barely worse. My civic got anywhere between 350-450 miles a tank which is good but when i jumped on it to get some sort of power my gas mileage sucked. On the RSX I get around 350-400 miles to a tank and even riding it in the low rpms gives me alot more power than my civic ever had.So depending on how you drive gas mileage can be very similiar.

5) yeah that true but if you took a civic and added al the RSX parts and engine and crap it would end up costing more in the end,so while the RSX has a higher initial cost,it's over shadowed by the fact that it would cost a civic alot more $$ to be at the same level.

6)can't disagree with that =)

As far as # 4 goes above, the RSX vs. Type S are very much different. The Type S sucks in gas mileage, but my base model is getting the great same gas mileage as when I had my Civic.

And you forgot about the interior. The RSX's interior is much cleaner than the Civic's (with the exception of the plastic trim near the shift **** that scratches easy)...

I do have a Type-S and since i usually cruise around in 6th gear above 30mph and my rpms stay between 1800-2700 my gas mileage is almost the same as my civic!and yeah teh interior especially with black leather is sooo sexy besides the color thats one of the first things people comment on .

mmm, I don't know if you guys care about fame or not,

RSX is an acura, it looks sporty and more expensive, basically the reason to get one is to make yourself look better and richer. I think that would be what general public thinks.

Type-S is really for people who knows about performance, I think most just get the regular one with leather.

Downside:the Rsx Is Heavier So If You Put A K20a2 Into A Civic It Would Be Faster Than The Rsx (both Stock). The Sunroof From A Rsx Is Smaller , Poor Visivility. Leather Wears Fast (not In The 05 Models) Eats More Gas!!
Higher Insurance Costs
Upside: It Looks Nice, Made In Japan!! Rear Disc Brakes, 200hp/210hp, Leather Seats, Close Ratio Gearbox, Acura Tlc (really Useful) Is Better To Say You Drive An Rsx Than A Civic

^^ LOL you get used to it though. That is why you have side mirrors and rear view mirror. If adjusted properly, no more shitty blind spots.

Also, the Acura TLC is crap (at least from what I heard). Only good thing is your car will be towed to the dealership. After that you are stranded there unless you have a ride home...

Insurance isn't too bad. Im only paying 15 bucks more per month. It does add up if you look at it in the long run, but at least I know my car is trouble free.... When I had my Civic I had way too many issues...

Did anyone mention the rear windshield wiper? I wish my Civic had that, then I could wipe the rear window while driving.

I know I have a coupe.

Do they consider the RSX a hatch? Why, just cuz of the way the trunk opens?

I think it make more sense to have a rear wiper for a window that's slanted more horizontal rather than a near vertical window on a real hatchback. Rain falls from the sky down onto the windows most of the time, so I just figured...

^^ YES!! One reason why I got rid of the Civic and upgraded to a RSX is because my civic at the time was falling apart! It sucked azz!
