I love Honda, but it isn't the car...
I take a lot of **** for driving a Civic. Many Honda devotees are dedicated to the Accords, and other car lovers would rather I drive a Nissan or a Mitsu.
Screw them!
What makes my Honda great, at the risk of sounding like a Hallmark commercial, is you guys.
Whenever something goes wrong and you just know the Honda dealer is going to chuckle and tell you to take a pill (squeaky clutch, rocking seats...), there is an answer somewhere on 7thgen.
I didn't buy a Honda because I wanted to drive a Jap import (well, not entirely because), I bought a Honda because I love the community spirit.
Keep on keepin' on.

Yeah... I love this place... I tried to stay away but I just keep on coming back... Most of the people here are helpful and you learn a lot about Civics and cars in general if you hang out in the right forums or you can learn about totally different stuff if you hang out in the off topic forum.

Rep Power: 304 There is only one thing we are these dudes on this Forum but Honda's demographic analyses say that more than 50% of the 7th gen coupe owners are female. Were are the all the females?

yeah. i do see alot more girls/women driving seventh gen civics than guys. when i say this, the ratio is like 3 female civic drivers to 1 male. one of them i work with and she like here civic but thinks its a slow pos. mehh! i could have told her to turbo or swap but that is unrealistic for her.

Seriously, though, there aren't many women actually involved in the "modding" community; it's sort of the same as computers and most of the time for video games. Thanks to feminism that seems to be shifting, but women tend to stay away from technical fields, and especially technical fields dominated by sexually deprived men
Except biology, I think 90% of biologists are women.Not that I'm sexually deprived...

Most of the women I talk to, at least, as soon as I say anything about my car, they just yawn and go "oh, more car talk from some guy, that figures". I think it's because they are tired of the stereotype that all guys are car-obsessed.
I personally welcome all car-obsessed women into the community!
