Price of 03 Civic Si at my dealer

I went to the dealer today and I saw a black SI in there with a price of 17,600. That is a good *** price. I really thought about trading it in but I dont know. I have an 03 civic ex hooked up. How does it work if you trade your car in with aftermarket parts on it?

it lowers the value a ton. way more than if you brought it back stock. mods are frowned upon by the dealer. kills your resale. part your car out then trade it in, you will get more money that way.

normally you cannot sell back cars fixed up that void the warranty unless is the Factory Perforamance.. which I doubt anyone on this site has.. 160hp n/a Honda Civic Ex... depending on what it is they'll take it back.

Those dealers are really a-holes.
17,600 is really good though.
I believe they lowered the price because the 2004 are coming, or maybe the Si's just don't sell that good.

Wierd, i had a 2000 Honda Civic DX Hatch, 75000 miles. The dealer liked my car and said it would sell fast. I had it dropped on civic si rims(not stock) and a short shifter with a ***. Tinted windows.

They gave me 700 over kelly blue book and i bought a 03 civic Ex for 500 over invoice, nice interest rate too, with 0 down. I thought that was a good deal.
Maybe it depends on dealers and mods done to car.

Yeah, I traded in my 02 SI after having it for 7 months and got $14K for it. I had an Injen CAI and Nuespeed race springs on it. The funny thing is, I bought the car for $15,700 new. 12,000 miles later they gave me $14,000 for it. The new SIs do not hold a good value at all. So, I was quick to jump on the offer I got.

$17,600 is an ok price. Like I said I paid $15,700 for my 02 SI new. Talk them down more. If they will not go lower, go to another dealership. Tell them what offer you have and ask them to do better. When they do, tell them you will thing about it. Then go back to the first dealership and show them the offer you got from the second dealership and see if they will beat that. And so on and so on. That way you will get the best deal. Because when you get the SI, you better plan on keeping it for awhile. Or you will be upside down in it if you try to get rid of it soon afterwards. I got lucky though. Thats why I got rid of mine.

Oh and the last time I talked to my old salesperson, she told me that they where trying to sell my SI I traded in for $16,500. Thats $700 more than what I paid for it new and it has 12,000 miles on it. And to top it all off, 2 days ago I drove by the dealership and my old SI(which was on the showroom floor) was gone, and it was not out in the used lot. I think that they sold it. LOL

the factory performance doesn't have 160 hp engine. its the same D17A2 that pumps 127 hp.

factory performance has: oem kit (aero or oem, depending on year) 16 inch oem rims, sticker tires, stiffer spring and shocks.

thats it. for 4 grand.. or so more.. yeah its a lot.

I've heard some dealers will buy it as a show car if it has alot of mods. But certain mods like stereo you may get extra for.

samari....DON'T DO IT!! 17,600 is kinda high if you ask me. When I bought my car back in March of this year, the dealer was desperately trying to sell me an SI. They had a whole bunch of them that were just sitting on the lot. I think they were trying to sell them for under 15k. Besides, I just checked out ur car in "member rides" and it looks real good. Why would you want to trade it in after you spent all that time and money?? keep it!!!

17600 pretty good deal. talk them down 17 after taxes. registration etc. i traded in my 02 ex. for 03 si. first suggestion. most dealers want your car as everything stock. suspension . exterior. interior. so i took out every aftermarket parts i had. if you decided to just traded in with aftermarket parts. they might let you do it but wont give you much money that you should get. just take out all parts . sell it on for sale section. does honda has 1.9% for new si now? mines at 1.9% now.monthly payment went down about $12 everymonth. with better car. i couldnt pass good deal. here i am with 03 si
heres some ep3 forums
www.ephatch.com
www.k-series.com
car is absolutely awesome. interior, engine , exterior. love everything about it. NO regret
