vtec
Stock for stock the GSR should not only win that race but the VTEC should also be more pronounced. Your question, however, is kind of silly. I think that what you really mean to ask is: "in what car does it make more of an overall gain?" The actual kicking in really doesn't matter. As for finding out the total gain by switching to the better cam profile, you would have to test both cars with it disabled and then enabled.
the GSR was stock with a total of 4 people, and the 99/00 Si had only 1 person in it and it had a greddy evo exhaust and an injen cold air intake. the Si started to catch up at 7k in 3rd, but until then, the GSR had the lead, they really didnt get to finish the race, but the Si was catching up.
how high do you think the Si revs? They both rev to about 8000rpm. Infact i think the GSR revs a little higher. The GSR not only has 15 more HP, but more torque due to its higher displacement. The GSR would win stock to stock given equal drivers. You might be thinkin of the H22 that only revs to like 7600rpm...but by your knowledge the prelude would lose to an Si then too because it has a higher redline and less displacement. That just doesnt make sense.
