Oh, and just to add my little bit of useless car trivia. . . .
I see MANY imports beat domestics in drag racing.
I also see many domestics beat imports in autocross.
Know what? The driver makes the car. . . the car DOES NOT make the driver.

Rep Power: 0 I totally agree with ya Yuk. Just wanted to get my point across why people mod hondas. I guess the looks of any car is a matter of opinion. But I believe one of the main reason people like to mod their honda is to try to build a fairly fast car with good looks (good looks according to them anyway). So i'll just leave it at that.. that's all I have to say about this matter.

I love it when people try to compare a $30k car to a $15k car like they are the same. Ohh your mustang gt will beat my stock civic. Well it should you paid almost twice as much. Give me all the money I would have spend on a domestic and let me put it into my engine. We will see who wins then. Our Civic here with a Stage 3 K20A hangs on the level of an SVT Mustang/ZO6 but took the price of the RSX-S to make (not including the price of the Civic), just to go straight.

Most people think the driver of a modded honda is all about racing. It's the attitude. Many people, including me, mod their car to be different. The haters always argue over this issue and somehow think like our slow cars are a match for their v8 domestics. Some of the hondas are fast, and that's what pisses them off so much. They're mad that a small car with no power can be built to have more.

I'm buying an STi right now because of bang for the buck. I could do the same with a Mustang, but I wouldn't have 4 doors and daily drivability along with it.
If I were keeping my Civic as a daily, and already had another house (so as not to worry about the monthly car payment possibly hurting mortgage loan chances) you bet your *** I'd be test driving the Z06 and the Viper (1996-2001). Jesus. . . I would give my left nut to be in a position to accomodate one of those beasts. . . but the nice thing about an import (FOR ME) at this point is it won't cost me $$$$ to maintain a true sports car.
I don't know why people who love their car, be it domestic or import, can't just be an AUTO ENTHUSIAST and appreciate the great diversity we are privileged to experience in this country. I think for a lot of people, they're concerned about the stereotype they'll be marked with for being aligned with a certain type of car. . . . stereotypes people JUST LIKE THEM are responsible for perpetuating in the first place.

Sometimes when I see those 6th gen civics with cherry bombs and huge Pep Boys wings, I just feel like crap. I even saw a few 7th gens all riced out. I consider it a crime against cars.

Rep Power: 333 Well I am a ricer and proud of it. I have altezzas and a "fart cannon" even though my exhaust sounds much nicer and not as irritating as many domestics that I have heard. The reason that I dislike many domestic owners is because they think that I am a punk kid that wants to race them for slips. Hell no. I mod my car because it's my car, if I had a Mustang or a Corvette guess what, it would be modded too. I also mod my car to be different. Maybe not in the whole national scene but I guarantee my civic is the only one in town with black headlights and an altezza grill. I can't even count the number of Silver 7thgen civic sedans in my town. But you can pick mine out in a crowd unlike all the others where the only difference might be the front liscense plate or the sorority sticker on the back. I respect all cars, just not many of the owners. For the people that say that imports will never be **** in the 1/4 mile, I say let's race down a mountain road. Quit comparing V8's to I4's. There is no comparison. There are 4 bangers out there that are tastefuly done and can outrun V8's daily for less than the cost of the stock V8. That's the power of money. Of course a modded V8 will do donuts around me while I'm going down the 1/4 and still win, but you will be comfortable in my backseat and I still get 30 mpg. Crustangs aren't bad, but just like so many imports, many of the drivers of these cars give them a bad name. Then the argument is whose car is better. And truthfully, mine is, but to you yours is. C'est la Vie.

Rep Power: 0 Imports are given bad names because of idiots who don't know how to take care of their car. They put stuff like cheap mufflers, 3-ft wings on their trunk, and stickers all over their car, of companies that they dont own anything of. 
Just because somebody modifies their car doesnt mean their a ricer. As for 'The Fast & Furious'....who REALLY wants to pay $5 a ticket to go see a movie that pokes fun at racers? If we really wanted to see that, we could just go for a ride in our own town. "The Fast & Furious" was a joke... it just gave retards more of a reason to go out and do what they call..."racing". It's nothing like the type of underground racing that people do.
And you know why people pick imports? Because they're reliable and last longer than most domestics.
My parents have had Hondas for over 30 years and never had a major problem. Unlike my mom's mustang she had....spent thousands to replace that P.O.S. because it blew up so many times. 
My parents had to even ORDER their civics and accords they had back then, because of the huge demand of people wanting them. We're lucky today we can just walk into a dealership, and 65% of the time, we can buy what we wanted AND feel good that we made the right decision. I even happen to know a man driving his 1972 Civic around! So now....does somebody STILL want to argue about my car not being reliable and a good investment?

Rep Power: 0 I guess U have not seen that vid of a hatch civic beatin a viper, download off winmx, but im sure that civc was mod but for da price of turbo, swap r wat ever he had im sure it was a hell of alot cheaper than da price of a viper. i would post it but dont know how to post vids if any1 else have fell free.
