Looks good but for 10 G's more than an SRT-4, if I didn't already have a civic I would probably get the Dodge (If I actually was forced to buy an American Car)

well... i sold dodge cars and trucks for a while... and it would appear to me that the biggest SRT-4 killer will be the car itself, im SURE it will prove to be a complete pile of crap... and yeah, my turbo'd vic will get one too... i've seen a LOT around, and it appears VERY few people can drive them well....
On sale in U.S. To be determined, that car would never EVER sell for 30Gs over here. And if it did, Id slap on a turbo and laugh all the way to the bank as I blow past a 30 thousand dollar focus. I mean, what have they done here to warrant spending 30,000 dollars on a focus? All I see is a turbo. And to pay 30,000 for a stock turbo focus.. you gotta be outa your mind. Just buy a regular focus and turbo it, it would probably be faster than a factory turboed focus.

I'd easily put down 30k in a second if i had it for a ford. its called the SVT Cobra and it will blow away a civic running 20 lbs of boost.
As for this new focus, I dont like it. But I will say that I'll almost guarentee that it doesnt come here costing 30k. Domesitc car companys always overstate the price of a car. All you have to do is show up and you cna get 5k knocked off the price of any domestic. Another thing to look at is this focus isn't made to do what the srt-4 is made to do. It's not a straight line car, its a rally car.

EManEX is right, I have no doubt that eventually a compitant driver will come around an beat me, but then SRT-4's are D-Sock, and I run STS. STS at best should be about the equivalant of G-Stock. 1 class lower then D-Stock. And So far the 2 that show up have yet to out run me, but they have come close. as far as professional dirvers?...... Well what type of people have been buying SRT-4's? Yup, Young, Inexperianced drivers who like Drag racing. Not exactly the best autocrossers (Or drivers for that matter).
A Turbo on a FWD platfom can be a big liability in autocross, and Road racing. With out a Driver that konws how to deal with the problems, that liability can kill a cars competitveness.
Just a note, D-stock is currently dominatied by Integra Type R's and BMW 3 series cars. The WRX is classed D-Stock but its not that competitive in the class.

i hate when someone says some kill story about how they beat some car they normally shouldn't beat, and everyone says it was the driver. sure the driver sucked, but you still beat him in the car...so therefore you beat the car. IMO anyway.
