Accord or Civic?

Which car would be quicker, i am not to concerned about top speed.
Civic EX M/T or Accord EX 4cyl MT, 2 or 4 door shouldent matter to much, I assuming both cars are totally stock and the same year.
I would kinda assume the Civic since its smaller and lighter(4cyl 1.7L), but the Accord, even the 4cyl is a bit larger (4cyl 2.3L).

civics can take 94-97 accords, but not the 98-2000 model

The new accords can take civics. There pretty fast. The automatic does the 1/4 in 16.4

so the 7th gen can take a 94-97 cause I got like 3 friends with that year model accord and they always wanna race me.. haha I will show them!

Speaking of the new accords (I was just trying to keep it general), I heard that the auto has quite a bit more torque than the stick, yet they both have the same engine.... this doesn’t totally make sense to me. I have driven the new accord, but only a 4dr auto, I’m not sure what cut it was, but it was dark blue......
