Our New Competition so, let's check out the new neon with 205HP. It even beat Acura TSX (200HP). This fact make me puke.
It will come out soon and in term of power civic is no match...I don't know what Honda will do, I am getting confused how can they keep sale their civic so good only base on "liability".
check ou the pic, obviously the fresken neon's spoiler is copying the type R style, dumb *** neon.

So basically you are jealous that the neon is faster than our civics? DOHC neons always were faster. Now this one is really fast.
Don't hate on it. I like the SRT-4. I bet my Honda is more trustworthy though.

Rep Power: 0 personally i don't like the srt-4's looks. the front, the grill is the worst. its hideous. i like the sound of the exhaust and it handles pretty well i hear.
unfortunely its still a chrysler and unreliable at best. i've had bad experiences with chrysler products.
supposedly they're 'one of the quickest cars for the money'... i'd take a mustang GT over a neon srt-4 anyday for the money...

Rep Power: 0 Yeah seriously...the neons have been out for a while. There's one here in miami pushin about 298 lbs. of torque with a simple t.....boost bump...drop in filter....and 3 inch exhaust.

The fact that tuners have modified it and turned into a street racer is bonus.
BUT from Honda's perspective it is and always will be the best and MOST RELIABLE economy car on the market ... until they develop something new and better.

205Hp neon is the same class as civic. It comes out to compete with focus, civic, corolla, elatra etc
that is why I say it will be a hard competitor in the category!
To start a forum I would not just make no sense and took a sport class car and compare with civic class car. I would not say Tribulon is our competitor for exemple.

the srt-4 really is the best "bang for the buck" power wise, but i dont think its suspension is any where near its power. however, with the aftermarket embracing almost anything, the srt-4 will be a competitor with a lot of cars.

Rep Power: 399 I would never take any neon. I don't care how fast it is. I can go to walmart and turbocharge the f*ck out of a shopping cart, but it'd still be a shopping cart. Which I'd probably still actually pick over a neon.

you should trade your civic over it...with civic's low drop value I think you can get that turbo neon with just few grands more. If drag is all you want, civic definitely won't fit your need.

holes in the front end than the damn avenger kit(maybe)(no offense)

on the commercial they say "chrisler" emblem is not just put on, "you have to earn it"...so I alwasy have a feeling CHrisler is a relatively high class auto maker...
anyone know if they have liability problem?

last week we had to replace the transaxle, water pump, and alternater. a few months ago we replaced the auto tranny.

And I thought I was the only one that caught that.
One of my friends has a neon, best paint job I have ever seen. Car is 6 years old, well taken care of and half of the paint has flaked off. It's called the dandruffmobile since it's white and it flakes that bad.
