Ever see a car called an Altezza?

In Chicago last night for the 4th, I saw a car drive by and what did the badge say? "Altezza". Oh no. Like where your or my car would say "Civic," it had a badge that said "Altezza."

Essentially the IS300 in Japan, with a turbo, and the other mods to help the car stop, handle, and ride smooth with the turbo...

Doesn't the Toyota Altezza share more similar characteristics with the Lexus IS200?

A while back, a friend of mine just came back home from living in Japan. We see a Lexus IS on the road, and he goes "hey isn't that an Altezza?" It just seemed weird to me.

They are practically the same car. If you don't know by now, Lexus is subsidiary (sp) of Toyota. Just like Acura and Honda. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

the IS300 has an awsome engine that can handle a lot of power via turbo or nitrous its an inline six. the altezza has the 3sge inline four.

You are correct, sir. Lexus=Toyota, Acura=Honda, Infiniti=Nissan. The Lexus IS300 and the Toyota Altezza is basically the exact same car. On another note, I believe altezza lights should ONLY belong on cars that came stock with them. All those replacement altezza lights just look... off.

I dunno, I saw quite a few TRD Altezzas when I went to Japan, and they're pretty sexy.

There were a couple modded ones, but the TRD still looked better, IMO.

I'll take an Toyota Tom's Altezza 280 please.

280 HP, 6 speed trans, and the lower weight of a 4 cylinder engine for a better 50/50 weight split.
