Dont forget since its hitting a solid unmovable wall, its the equivalent of a COMBINED head on impact of 70MPH.
The 7th Gen Civic has a double 5 star rating for frontal impact, so I am quite happy

For testing frontal collisions, crash-test dummies are placed in driver and front passenger seats and secured with the vehicle's seat belts. Vehicles are crashed into a fixed barrier at 35 miles per hour (mph), which is equivalent to a head-on collision between two similar vehicles each moving at 35 mph
So according to their site, I have only a 10% chance of serious injury if I had either a 35mph dead on impact with a concrete wall, and a 10% chance of serious injury if I had a headon with a combined speed of 70MPH. Makes me feel quite alot better behind the wheel in a city of this size. I used to drive a '91 Tercel Coupe and that thing made me nervous. Im not afraid of death, but I DONT want to have a slow twitching death after having a bad car accident.
