Hi there, so im looking at buying an ej civic that the seller claims to be a manual, and the pictures of the shifter are consistent with that, but i thought this dashboard with the P R N D lights was for the automatic version only? could it be manual swapped? or is it likely that the original dashboard stopped working and was replaced with an automatic one? thanks.

also very interesting and very concerning if im correct but, i checked the vin of the car and the engine code is D16Y74759270 yet the engine in the car is a d16y8 with code D16Y81702047, and over here in aus you cant just change the engine in a car as you choose, you have to get an engineering cert for it to be road legal, and in that instance would they not also change the engine code on the registration?

Also turns out rego was cancelled in September last year, the listing said '98 but it's actually a '99 and the guy admitted that the clutch and throw out bearing were toast.
