Guys I found a dealer that has a honda civic 6th gen coupe, the car is in immaculate condition, is perfect. The thing is the car has high mileage on it, it has exactly 254,000 miles on it. What do you guys think?
I'm going to be using the car as a daily and little by little put some mods on it. I just want to be reliable but the miles are a little bit scary.

Re: Buying a civic with high mileage
That is super clean,
mileage isn't that high, like GolNat said get some service on the timing belt.
only other thing i would be worried about would be burning oil, but if it's that clean the owner probably maintained it well

Looks like it's been painted recently. Wouldn't be surprised if there was prior minor accident history.
Check all of the body panels for the VIN sitckers.
My 2000 EX has 233K, and I wouldn't sell mine for that cheap. Mine burns NO oil, and I installed the Si front & rear suspension, front grille, fogs, headrests, and side skirts. Still has the factory AC charge and original exhaust (hasn't rusted out yet).

When adding mods/upgrades one can never expect to recover the money he/she put into it. There's people that install $10k worth of mods and a year later may not even see half that amount if they sell their car.
You're car has 233k original miles and is 18 years old...very doubtful anyone would pay $3,500 for it.
I don't think it would be wise to start modifying a car at 250k miles. Especially little by little. By the time you get it how you want it and are really getting attached/committed to it, it will be at the end of it's life... IMO.
i also notice that the airbag does not match the rest of the steering wheel. i would thoroughly inspect the car for accident damage, more so since someone else mentioned paint. plus you're in ohio, is a car with that high of mileage usually that rust free? here in illinois the wheel well arches would be showing at least some rust by now. a magnet is helpful to see if it's all bondo or not.
Did you end up getting this? I'm looking at something similar, 97 Civic EX with 250,000 miles and as clean as this one. If I posted the pics plus the price he was asking, $1700, you guys would probably tell me what am I waiting for? But I'm checking to see if he'll go down a little bit. I may post pics if I end up getting it.

I got another car, this EK with only 45,000 miles on it, let me see the one that you're planning to get
