Engine swap is really the only way, those shiny chrome intakes and exhausts only increase noise not power

It's a D15.
B-series engine swaps are dirt cheap and easy. You can do a full junkyard swap.
-B20B High Comp from a '99-'01 CRV
-B18 LS trans (or B20 if you wanna stay auto)
-Manual B-series non-vtec ECU and wiring harness (unless you wanna stay auto, then get the parts from an auto)
The swap is really well-documented, and you should be able to get by solely off junkyard parts.
