I'm sure this question is somewhere else on this forum, cuz i found out about it here. but i put an intake on my car a few weeks ago and now it doesn't idle correctly sometimes. it will hover at 600 rpm then begin to stall. the car blips the throttle and it revs to 1000 rpm and slows to 600 rpm.. repeat lol. any cures for this? new intake? reflash? Etc?

btw this is my first post, i just bought the car last month and so far i love it.

What year, model?

It sounds like a clogged IACV, remove it and clean it out with some carb cleaner then reinstall. Also pull the f1 ECU fuse for 10 ten seconds with the car off to re-set the idle.

its a 2008 civic si coupe. I dont really know what that is to be honest.. I do want to take another look though, the MAF wasnt sitting correctly, im going to see if i can re-do it and get that in there properly


UPDATE: Took the MAF sensor out and against my better judgement took off that little o-ring/gasket/seal thing because it was getting hung up on the mounting hole. it sits flush now with the intake pipe. i took it for a 20 minute ride on highway and city roads and the idling problem seems to have been fixed. i mounted it better too.

I installed a cold air intake on my 08 lx and now it sits at 600 rpms after going up to 1000 rpms and dies when I come to a stop and sputters to go. Honda says that the intake is causing to maf to not read properly. Can anyone help me with this problem?
