Will removing steering knuckle interfere with struts
I need to do both wheel bearings on the front of my Civic LX 2006. The plan is to remove the knuckles and bring them to the machine shop to remove and press the bearings. Part of the process requires removing two pinching bolts that secure the steering knuckle to the strut. Isn't strut under extreme pressure all the time? Will removing these bolts not cause that pressure to release? The videos I have watched make no mention of this possibility so I am almost sure that this won't be a problem.
But you can never be too sure. Please advise.

Re: Will removing steering knuckle interfere with struts
you will rather have a hard time removing them from knuckles.
Will make a loud bang when they separate.
Fork not enough, get a tool that you turn a bolt to separate.
Left mine for 3 days, PB Blast and everytime I could, I would turn the bolt a little more.
One day, bang! it was out

Re: Will removing steering knuckle interfere with struts
With the suspension at full droop it is safe to undo the pinch bolts for the strut. Separating the balljoint from the knucke will probably be the hardest part
