Project car questions.

I have a 2007 Honda Civic ex coupe no si. I wanna make it into a project car but idk if it’s worth putting money into it. I wanna make the car 400hp and make sure the car doesn’t break on me so I wanna add mod supports to whatever I add to the car. Can I get some help with what parts to start on with this project and make sure they are supported very good.

Dude, it's a k20 under the hood. Loads of aftermarket support for that engine

What do you have in mind?

Well I already did a lot with my civic so I don’t wanna sell it and make start with a new 1. I have a $1700 sound system and it’s wrapped. So what’s the best choice to do if ima keep my regular civic? Also would k20 fit on a coupe

But I don’t wanna do anything to my stock engine I wanna upgrade to a vtec and make sure the engine can handle like 400-450hp. The kit looks cool but what engine is good to put in a civic coupe 07

Re: Project car questions.

A K20 will fit.

Don't know what is involved or how much it cost but I am sure the info is available if you search. To reach 400Hp though internals will probably have to be changed as I am not sure what they can handle stock. Boost will get you there.

Re: Project car questions.

I’m not worried about price atm. I just wanna make a 400-450hp Civic.

I wanna change everything there is even the tranny with the engine. I wanna make sure it can be handled the right way with very good equipments. Should I put a supercharged into it? Or a twin turbo or something?

If I can maybe get a list of what I should get from start to end basically and I wanna get them down 1 by 1. Anything to make sure the car can handle a good 400-450hp or maybe even 500hp. The parts I want need to be all reliable and last me a VERY long time with this beast I’m gonna be building. I’m just trying to be careful cause I’m new to this and I don’t wanna make my car get so much power and then break down on me later.

Re: Project car questions.

Turbo build including internals should do you just fine for at least 300hp with your r18 engine.

I haven't researched them but higher numbers may be possible.

The k swap will cost you a pretty penny just in parts, but is a beast of an engine.

Re: Project car questions.

Even if it costs me a lot of money to do K swap I’ll do it I just need to know the right parts to get and I wanna do everything the right way if I’m gonna be doing a swap. I don’t wanna turbo the r18 engine because it’s a old engine now and it won’t run as good. Can you send me some info on how I can change all parts and on what to do
