I am considering buying a 2016 EX sedan. On the test drive I heard a noise that seems to be coming from rear of the vehicle. It starts to be noticeable starting around 55 mph. At first I thought it was a throaty exhaust sound. As the speed increases the sound increases in frequency. At first I thought it might be road noise or maybe tire noise. When I looked underneath the car I see that there appears to be sound deadening material. There are two panels. The one on the passenger side has a slight v shape bend to it that may not be normal, and the one on the drivers side appears to have one mounting clip loose and maybe others missing. I am thinking these are the source of the sound, and that making sure they are secured properly will eliminate the noise. Thoughts on my theory are appreciated.

In case anyone is curious. The issue is uneven wear on the rear tires. Previous owner never rotated tires. 31k miles.
