Anyone Know The Tolerance For Serpentine Belt Length? (2017 EX - non-turbo)
Was wondering if anyone knew or had experience with how well these engines handle tension for a non-stock size serpentine belt?
I'm ordering a high output alternator, and it's going to come with a smaller pulley. I'm going to need a belt that's about 0.5" to 0.75" shorter than the stock belt.
The problem is, the stock belt (as far as I can find out) is 56.32", and I'm struggling to find an 7 rib replacement within the size range I need. Closest I've found is 55.32", which is a full inch smaller - the next size up I've found is the same as stock. I would appreciate any/all feedback!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Gates charts
K070563 (7 rib/56.3") minus .5"-.75"...next smaller number i saw is K070553 (55.843")?
Check same for Bando and Mitsuboshi brands? (OE suppliers)
