Getting a Compressor! :)
So yeah, I'm finally getting that compressor. That means that I can paint bodykits! If anyone local has something they want painted then let me know. All you would need is the paint and a fair fee for me for painting it for you. Small stuff like mirrors and door handles and trim will be $5 each, but no more than $15 for the whole job. Something like a front bumper will be $15. Something like a front lip will be $10. A whole bodykit will get a discount, so let's say $35.
Anyone out there that has something that they need to get painted?

No practice yet. We just ordered the compressor, and I don't have a paint gun. Yet. I will though. Once I get one I will buy some SSM paint and do my door handles. Maybe my mirrors too, but maybe just a clearcoat. I kinda like them black.
Shouldn't be too hard. The hardest part is having nice weather so that I can paint outside. Although if someone has a small shed that's empty then we could use that. Just line it with newspaper and have a mask on to not breathe in that crap.

just out of curiosity, where would you get like a decent amount of SSM paint (preferably that matches the rest of the car)? i dont mean like touch up paint, im talking like a half gallon or something like that. who does that? would a benjamin moore or like a paint store do auto paint? or would i have to go to honda or a body shop?

I know that there are a few places on the net. The paint code is on the inside door frame on the driver's side. I'm not sure off-hand who does what though. I'm sure that I will be able to get SSM paint rather easily though. Probably online. I might ask some paint shop if they have those kind of colors. Maybe an automotive store? Who knows? I'm sure it won't be a problem though.

Local shops that sell auto body supplies should sell the paint to go with it. The dealer would have to special order it for you if you want to go through them. Regular paint stores don't sell automotive paint. Just open the phone book up and look under automotive paint, or stop into a local auto body shop and see where they get it.
Oh, and you probably won't be able to buy it online either, since it can't be shipped since it is Haz-mat, or you could, but pay a nice fee....

I probably will be good. I just need a little practice and I'll be able to offer professional results. I assume you have a silver car? Me too.
I'll practice on something plastic and then I'll re-do my front bumper. I'll post pics for you guys, so you can judge for yourself if I'm good or not. Peace.

Thanks. It's quality stuff. The paint gun will be of high quality as well. I just need to read up on paint guns to see which one they reccomend. Well, I need money too.
