Sprained my angle, damn it. I was throwing out the trash and I kind fell in a hole from some construction within my apartment complex. It sucks! I'll definately complain to the management. Bleh. 
Now I'm sittin' at home (wifey takin' care of me). Life isn't bad actually, but the pain sucked. It's not too bad now though. I can kinda walk after less than 24 hours, so I think it'll be ok.
It's puffy and I think I have a bruised bone to boot.
Just complaining, 'cause that's what I like to do.

Just kidding...hope you feel better soon. Hell yeah complain...tell them to give you 2 months free rent or you'll get lawyers involved. If they say no; at least you tried.

Rep Power: 396 Yeah, they open at about 9:00AM today. I took the day off 'cause I still need a leg brace and what not. I'll definately let them know that they made a serious mistake.

j/k, man...hope you feel better. I've sprained my ankle a couple times, and now my ligament is loose and it clicks and cracks sometimes when I walk. Hope nothing like that happens to you!
BTW, hurry up and install your exmag when you ankle gets better...the leak in my exhaust is getting bigger, I had to wrap it, so i'll be needing a new exhaust by next april, and if i'm gonna spend $500, why go OEM so I need to see how yours sounds.

I know the pain. I skateboarded for years and jacked up both ankles 4 times.
1. I would soak the foot in warm epsom salt/water.
2. subscribed pain killer.
3. wrap it with a ace bandage.

Anyway, I ended up calling them and telling them about what happened. They sounded scared. hehe... I bet I could get some money out of this if I tried, but screw it. Maybe they'll be nice in-turn and give me something? Maybe not.
PunkingCivic: Actually, they reccomend not to soak it in hot water.
There's a couple of things that you should do with a sprain:
1. Wrap it (compress it). Like you said, "ace bandage" does the trick.
2. Cool it. Ice cubes in a zip lock baggie wrapped in a cloth applied for 20 minutes with rests of 45 minutes works.
3. Elevate the leg above your chest.
It's all about reducing the hemoraging. I.E. the flow of blood to that location. It's the bodies reaction to the injury, but it's not the best one 'cause it causes puffiness and tenderness and bruising.

Rep Power: 278 I've sprained my ankels(both) thousand times each when I was in highschool playing sports (soccer, volleyball)...and now I kinda regret that I didn't took care of them very well.....itz been almost a year since the last time I sprained my ankel but it steel feels so weak..
