so today at 6am, i just get out of work. looking forward to going home to sleep which is a hour away sigh....
so i get into the car, put the ebrake down, and start to leave. wait a second, why cant i move. oh the ebrake is on, duh......wait a second, its down. AWWWW F*CK! I knew instantly.....the cold froze the ebrakes on.
closest dealer is 20 miles. Im cold, so screw it. I drove with the brake on, and it took me a hour. Brakes in the rear got real hot, so it was ok, I was able to move good. But then I reliezed, wait now I cant stop.
With the brakes hot, and expanded, the fluid will goto the rear more. Therefore causing the fluid in the system to get real low. So I had to pump the brakes slowly, and they would goto the floor with no effort.
But all in all I made it to the dealership in once peice. The said there was no brake damanage, but since the cable froze, and then i drove, I streched it out. They ordered the parts, and advised me not to use it till it is fixed.
I have allways heard rumors about ebrakes freezing in the winter, but it never happened to me berfore, so I ignored it. Now that I know, I attempt this again.
I HATE THE NORTH EAST!
