NH run time again.....
NH run time again.....
Hey guys, its been a while since I was last on here, but its that time again, and I was wondering if any of you are interested in doing it again this year. The Date will be Oct 4th and we are doing basically the same thing, with ONLY a slow group this year. There was a large controversy on CSi about the fats and slow groups, and I have decided that we are only going to be doing slow groups. We are going to spend a little extra time at the Alpine slide also, so if you are interested in that, we can get a couple fo runs in there. I am just upset that Duane is not gonna be around for this one again this year.......
so........Is anyone interested?
so........Is anyone interested?
hmmmm...best way to describe it is to find havok and have him post the second video he took of it last year.
Basically what it is, is a meet where we carve up the roads in NH. Stop at attitash, maybe hit up the alpine slide, see the sites. Its pretty amazing actually. We have numerous roads we travel and a freshly paved road in the back woods of NH that is 40 miles long or so with not many people around at all.....spirited driving.....

Last year was some serious spirited driving
The best part is seeing everyone going in a nice tight formation...last year was 20-something civics and a couple other cars...Hybrids, light and heavily modified, and stock alike, it's an awesome time!
If we find a mid-point between the fast and slow groups, I'm sure people will be happy. The slow group was pretty slow...

I'm a definate in. I loved it last year and I'm more ready for it this year with some front and rear strut bars and upgraded sway bars. Well, last year I didn't have any sway bar in the rear. I also have a better two-way and gloves. Gloves are a must guys!!! Last year my hands were sweatin' like a boitch. I hated it. This year I'll be prepared.

I am not saying that we are going to be "slow" and putt putting along, but we are not going "fast" either. We will go at about the same clip the slow group was at last year, which really was more like a spirited driving group, about 10 somtimes 15 over the limit......

I know you guys will have a blast, Bill (quickSi) is a very good organizer, just a lil loopy sometimes...Cool nonetheless. Definitely missing you guys and meets, and runs..Have fun and be safe.
Side note: I've been speking with my pops and hiz biz is really taken off, so you might be seeing DDogg on a more permenant basis. We'll see.

Yo so what kinda suspension setup would I need to run with your group on the 4th? I have Tein SS but no strut/roll bars...would you guys recommend getting them? I'm pretty much stock in terms of engine with CAI and catback, don't wanna be embarassed in front of turbos and swaps you know? Also, how long does it usually go? Like 2-3 hours in the afternoon? How bout cops? You guys ever get caught, or are there no cops?

I ran completely stock and kept up fine. This year will be less spirited than before, so it'll more than likely just be a good stroll in the mountains and no modification is really needed unless you want to show off your expensive parts...It was a day trip in the truest sense, meeting up in the morning, (depending how far you come, get to NH and the start of the run), a stroll up, stop, another stroll higher, stop, lunch...etc...we left at dusk...
As for police, they're definitely around - the place has a reputation especially for bikers to have some fast roads, but I suspect this year we won't be doing bad things that would warrant a stop. Though there are side roads that come out pretty quick, so if a cop was hiding, it wouldn't be difficult to catch.
I think since last year there was such a debate over the fast vs. slow groups and how they should handle, showing off is going to be shunned. This is just a fun ride with fellow Civic owners up in the scenic mountains of NH. Not so say it'll be at granny pace, but not World Rally type driving either.
No one got caught last year, and with any luck we'll keep it that way for this year...

i would love to join you guys, but NH is a bit far away for me to drive to right now....the M-A meet in baltimore kinda put my milage up there.
but then again, who knows. october is still a bit away, so i might change my mind. lol if you guys can post up the route/map that would be kick ***. i just want to see where you guys will be going through, so in case i end up being able to come up at the last minute i can maybe meet up with you.
maybe posting a schedule of when the MA pees will be leaving and from where, and when the run will start in NH and if the stops are planned for certain times?

quicksi: That's a really nice pic. I haven't seen that one yet. I see me, Keith, Duane, and Phil. Phil is in the middle. The rest of us are huddled together towards the right.

We actually ahve a bunch of people in CSi that are coming from New York, Staten Island and jersey. Do what they are doing, either make a day of it, grab some caffiene pills and go for the day, or crahs with one of your northeast buddies, or better yet, if you have a girl, get a motel room.......

Everyone send me your emails so that I can get on it when I have more information...

relentless001@hotmail.com
I want to keep as much info off the main boards as possible. We don't know hwo is lurking on these boards and we don't need anyone informing John Q. Law about our whereabouts. Not to say we are going to be doing anything illegal, I just don't want the hassle of getting pulled over becuase someone has a beef with civics or whatever and wants to cause problems for us. If you want specifics, email me. Otherwise, I will have meeting times and places posted up by the end of the week.......
