I will be asking for a day off from work on that day (my schedule includes weekends). I'm a definate as soon as I get a positive response. Although I don't see why I wouldn't.
Phil and Brandon... Are you guys in for sure?
I just asked Maggie if she'll go with me. I hope she does. I need a navigator. LOL

I'm in for sure. I'm tuning my suspension so it hopefully won't f*** up like it did this week on me. Then I'll beat you with a wet noodle with my MONSTROUS 115whp ;-) e-mail me at idaytrade4u@yahoo.com and lemme know what's up.
glad to hear you three are definates..... hopefully the link to my CSi thread is still working where you will find directions, times and places, to meet etc......if anyone has a video camera.....please bring it........
The alpine slide is a concrete path that looks like a bobsled track. You take a chairlift 2/3 of the way up the mountain, grab a plastic sled with wheels on it, and ride down the concrete bobsled track. You sit upright in the sled and have a lever between your legs. You push the lever down, and it brings the wheels down, thus making it run faster. Pull the lever back towards you and it applies rubber rails to the concrete thus making you slow down or stop.....
VERY fun........just make sure if you do ride, that it is POSSIBLE to fall off and get road rash, you just have to have a bit of self control, since you can enter turns pretty fast and your sled will ride up along the high banked 90 degree turns throwing you OFF the sled......
My friend Steve and I used to go when we wer elittle, and finally went back up again a few years ago. We talked the whole way up about how we used to floor the damn sleds all the way down. What we didn't take into account was the 80 lbs soaking wet we used to weigh the last time we rode. Well, Steve went first, and I almost bailed a couple of times..when I got down bottom, He was covered in black rubber and roadrash, and found out withtin 5 turns that you can't floor it weighing almost 200 lbs all the way down anymore......
It is really fun......

All you NE peeps, there are two places to meet for this, at Chelmsford and NH by Manchester...So now it's a question of which one.
My vote is for NH, because their meet time is 11:00-11:45 with a depart time of 11:45. This gives enough time for morning activities and then the run...
EVERYONE WHO PLANS TO GO, PLEASE LET ME KNOW SO I CAN FIGURE OUT WHERE EVERYONE IS AND WHAT THEY'RE PLANNING!

Ok kids I'm definitely down. I had to work last year during the run and I was pissed. If I can find a babysitter for the muchkin, the girl will come with me. I am going either way though. I'll have my video cam with me as well. Unfortunetly though I don't have a 2 way. I need to know exactly where in Manch to meet up with everyone. My vote is for the Mall of NH in a back parking lot somewhere. It's big enough to fit everyone and it's very easy to find. If anyone needs directions I'd be more then willing to give them to ya. Someone PM me with the meeting place and time. Thanks
what do you say about meeting in the mall Parking lot. at the BEST BUY section.. all the way in the back so we can see everyone.. i have a 2 way. ill have to get everyones #'s when we meet. what time should we meet ??? what time does the whole group meet up and leave. also how long does this run last ??

OK GOT IT. IF ANYONE ELSE WANT THE INFO. HERE IS THE POST FROM CLUBSI.COM
Ok, here it is, after all the whining, all the bitching and all the bickering, It is back on again this year....
Date is going to be for October 4th.........Time will vary depending on which meeting spot you will be at, between 9 and 11.......
We are going to start it a little early this year, so for people who will be coming from a distance, make sure you plan accordingly. This is going to be an all day thing, like it is every year. Make sure that if you go, you have a full day.
We also have a request from a few people who want to actually ride the Alpine slide this year. Shouldn't be a problem since we will be at Attitash for lunch anyways. In case some of you do not know what the Alpine slide is, it is basically a concrete track running from 3/4 of the way up Attitash Mt, to the bottom. You rise on a plastic sled and it is like bobsledding, but you can control how fast or slow you want to go. Its either very scenic for the slow people, or a huge adrenaline rush for the speed freaks.
I will start a list in this post and this post only. If you are in, please post that you are in. If you are not sure yet, please do not sure, I am only looking for definates.
****Also, make sure if you are going, to grab yourself a two way radio that at the very least, picks up channel 1. That is the radio frequency that we use.
