And I didnt get a ticket how?
So I get out of work around 10:30 last night, its raining, and I say to my self, "yes rain, no cops, i can speed home tonight". Well think again!
While speeding my way 91N to the turnpike exit, I am in the middle lan, and there is a slow neon in front of me. A slow car to the left, and a semi slow car to the right, but with room to cut in. So I punched it, passed on the right, no blinker and took off.
Just as I pass, I see in my side mirror, crown vic light, and a grill. Im thinking "oh ****". So I coast to 65mph, and take it normal, thinking he wouldnt notice. Yeah right! Next think you know he pulls me over.
Im thinking, "well he didnt get me for speeding, i saw no cops, only for the right lane pass w/ no blinker.". He comes up to me, takes my info and goes back to the car. Come back a few seconds later and ask's "have you ever been arrested before?", of course I cant lie, he hs my info, so I was like "yeah back in 2000". Then he ask's, "why did I pull you over?" and I replyed "I passed in the right hand lane w/ no blinker" he says "yes you are correct, oh and you left out the part where i clocked you going 91mph!!!!!!"
Right there my heart droped, I didnt think I was going that fast, and I knew I was screwed. So then he says "its raining, your almost going 100mph, weaving in and out of traffic, your a F'ing idiot. I just scapped some ones brains off this highway the other day. Im not giving you a ticket, slow the F down and get the F out of here".
The moral of this story is, I gotta slow down, but HOW THE HELL DIDNT I GET A TICKET FROM A MA STATIE?!?!

no offense in my reply given to you:
He is right, and you deserved every little bit of yelling towards you..
Yes, in his, your's, and my head, your a dumb for doing something that could had resulted deadly.. But hey, what do you expect? We all do dumb things some time of another.. Best thing for you to do is watch your speed and slow down man.. You'll get home eventually or where ever you are going.. Probably the reason he didnt give you any tickets is because:
1). You were honest about being arrested in 2000 becuase he may had called your name in and gotten a background check..
2. He cares about your life and others around your area, instead of handing you a nice ticket to go fight or pay off.. (I would feel appreciated if a cop did that to me)
Thats just my honest opinion.. Just slow down man, its all good, but damn, watch what your doing at all times, because hell, there are tons of other drivers just as worse as what you did..
good luck and glad everything came out on the positive side!

Damn!!! WTF!? Allright, that's not fair. Sorry dude, but it sucks for us good boys who don't talk to the officer at all. I think that's what it is... Once you say something sympathy takes over and they feel sorry for your ***. I gotta remember that.
MeeHow don't take this reply personally...it's just a general rant!

That is NOT always the case...
Staties aren't robots...they each have a different personality. So what works for one may not have any effect on another!!!!!

Maybe the cop thought he was a lost cause anyway. You know, the kind of person only a major accident would help slap reality into...
Either that or he figured that letting him go would stick in his mind more than a ticket would. Think about it...bhaz413 had been arrested...threats probably aren't going to work. A "good boy" like yourself would respond to a threat moreso because you fear getting arrested.
The moral(s) of the story:
1) DON'T get caught
2) If you do...take your punishment and don't complain or pass blame on anybody else but yourself. The Statie wasn't forcing you to speed...you did that of your own free will. You knew it was wrong and you did it anyway!
3) God help any of you if I ever become a State Cop!!!!

I agree with you, he is totally right for beotching me out. Hell, I am still surprised thats all he did. And I admit it was stuipid, but i honestly wasnt paying too close to my speed. Exhuasted from work, and I live a hour away, so I guess I was in a rush to get home and get some sleep. But all in all, he was doing his job, and I thank him for not giving me a large ticket. Needless to say, I am using the cruise control more now

lol your so negitive. Yes I got caught, no I dont hate the cop, I hate no cops and hold nothing for pulling me over. Yes I admitted I got arrested, but that was 3 years ago, and hell one thing I was allways told was dont lie. I was ready to accept a ticket from the cop. Wasnt scared, worried or anything. I knew I F'd up, Ill take it like a man no biggie. I was just shocked I didnt get a ticket, but that was my wake up call to slow it down.
It may have been late at night and raining. Not many cars out, but I am a very experenced driver, and iI was in very well control. If I can control 80,000 pounds going down a large hill, then a little honda is nothing hehe.
And god help us if you are a cop, you sound like a *****
