Unhappy Terrible Night

So I have to commute to work on 84, just like hundreds of others. Well last weekI pull into my parking spot at work and smell something funny. Crap antifreeze is pouring out of my engine. GREAT- I let it cool off and at work I go out to see what's up. I can't find a hole in a hose or anything and can identify where the leak is coming from. Call up my mechanic and make an appointment for the next morning.
Before leaving wrok, I fill my radiator up with water. On 84 I go, no more than five mins later, I'm takced out on my guage. Pull over, let it cool down, I'm off again 2 miles later I'm on the side of the road. I don't want to chance it. I call AAA for a tow. While waiting I meet 3 different officers and then a little over 2hrs later, the tow guy comes. I'ts now 2:30AM. I get picked up. Car get dropped off at the garage and I make it home.
Day 2 garage calls and it's gonna be expensive. A piece of glass has gone through my ragiator and ruptured my ac condensor. Two big pieces need to be replaced along with the other little thing. The good news is that it's fixed in 3 hours from my bud at the garage and he wasw there cause the next day he goes on vaca for 10 days. On the bad side a big fat bill of over $800.
Sorry, but I just needed to vent since my baby had been injured so badly.

Damn, that sucks. A piece of glass eh? Hmm... I'm glad I put in a grill up front again. I won't be ridin' around without a grill to protect the radiator and A/C condensor from now on...

ya, well it wasn't the grill spot, but the bottom area where the air comes into the radiator (below the grill/ over the rubber stripping on bottom of bumper) hit the radiator in just the right spot to crack it.
