Hallett MRC Season once again
Hallett MRC Season once again
Just wanted to remind those of you in the Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas area that the open tracking season at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit is going strong once again.
If you have not open tracked your car before or been to Hallett, you are missing out on an amazing experience that cannot be matched in any other event (except maybe the thrill of autoX but its a wholly different kind of thrill).
The open tracking at Hallett is called High Speed Touring and all you need to participate is...
1) A Car (no trucks, SUVs, station wagons)
2) A desire to haul *** on a seriously technical & fun track
3) A Helmet (Loaners available for a small fee)
4) Entry fee and COMMA membership (entry is $75 on regular HST days and $100 on Test & Tune days. Regular HST days are 5 sessions of 15 minutes each, T&T days are 7 sessions of 18-20 minutes each. This is a ton of track time that would cost you alot more elsewhere. COMMA membership is $35 a year)
If you are in the area, it;s well worth the drive to come and see what you are missing out on!
Upcoming events at HMRC:
---
Weekend of March 22, 23
Stephens Brothers School of High Performance Driving, High Speed Touring both days (Saturday is your best bet)
Weekend of March 28,29,30
Friday, Enduro Night practice, HST
Saturday, HST and the El Sol Y La Luna Enduro (6 hours)
Sunday, HST
Weekend of April 11,12,13
Friday, SCCA Test Day
Saturday, SCCA Regional
Saunday, SCCA National
Weekend of April 26, 27
Saturday, COMMA & HST
Sunday, COMMA & HST
I hope to see some of you out there this season. If you do plan on attending an event, let me know so I can look for you!

March 29th in-car videos online!
Had a blast this last Saturday at the track! I got to try out my pre-used Yokohama Advans on the track for 2 sessions. Called it quits early due to the 6 hour enduro that was going on from 4-10.
I was definately the 2nd to slowest car out for HST... next to a stock Miata... Got lapped by Vettes, NSXs, Mustangs, hopped up Miatas, etc. but was hellafun.
Im going to try and get one of my session vidz compressed and broken into parts to post soon, like I did with the session from Feb 15th.
UPDATE, my 2 session videos are online! Which you can find here... (hopefully this link will take you to the videos directly. I compressed them down so they are only 5 chunks each video instead of 11 like before).
This link should take you to my yahoo briefcase > GCM Stuff > Hallett HST March 29 - 2003 directory:
