This thread has been created so that people in this area can decide on a good spot to have the 7thgencivic.com Meet in Orlando, FL. Just suggest a few places that would be fun to meet and decide on one place that everyone would like. You can also decide on a good date sometime in June or July for the meet.

******UPDATE********
We need someone (or two people) from each Meet to act as a "representative". This person will help with getting Hotel names and prices in the area. At least get a list of hotel names and maybe a phone number, that way the people that are interested can call and get the rates and availability themselves. Your help will be appreciated by all. I know the parking lot at Downtown Disney is pretty big and you don't have to pay to get in...we'd have to get there kind of early tho cause it fills up kind of quick

if we go to downtown disney we shouldnt park in the main lot but ther is a back lot behind house of blues that never has but 20 cars there

the parking lot is kinda behind circus olay or whatever its call. and for this meeting i would suggest hotel rooms and not camping bc it is going to be so freaking hot.

Hey I volunteer to do some of the work for planning this meet. But first I have to throw out on the table that we move it up to the June 7-9 weekend because that's when the UCF car show is. Or maybe you don't want this to be car-show related? Just keep it concentrated on us and our cars? Well let me know what you think...

oops I made a mistake the show is on Sunday the 2nd of june, 3 days before I turn 18. So does a big meet on friday night and/or saturday sound good? Many of us will probably be staying over on sunday for the show if we're there already (if you have to travel to get here).

Ok people-I am just throwing this out there for ya. I know that people from New Jersey and around there wanna make a trip to one of these meets. If you plan this meet in the beginning of June, not as many people from up north are gonna be able to come. People still have school and stuff going on. I mean, if it works out that the best time would be to do it in the beginning of June, go for it. We will see what we can do to get there. I just think that the end of June would be better. I dont know, just my $.02

The UCF show is good for a FL meet, but I'd say the end of June is probably going to be better for a lot of the people up north. How 'bout June 29th?

I'm down for anything during the summer. Just has to be after June 8, b/c i'll be in cancun b4 then! whoo hoo but yea i know the orlando area real well and tampa kinda sorta. I know lakeland really well. It might actually be a good spot considering its in the middle of orlando and tampa and theres a lot of stuff to do in both cities and its only a little drive each way. Just an idea. I'm down for anything as long as its a week in advance so i can get off work!!!

Everyone put down dates when you can come and let's figure this out. I can come anytime in June or July since my vacation is in May.

I got a friend with a Honda dealer in Tampa.
He will let us get together on his dealership on a saturdays after noon.

We can get a discount if you go there tell him that you are 2k1member and you know me. He'll hook you up.
That goes for everyone (if you want)

Hey Everyone! I live in Chi-Town but I have already planned a florida tour of colleges during June 14th to June 30th! I was originally planning on flying down but if the meet happens to fall during one of those 3 weekends, I will surely drive down instead. Hopefully you will pick one of those weekends so that I can have my first road trip in the Civic. My parents' house is in Fort Myers but I will be visiting my brother in Orlando around the 21st. If a date hasn't already been decided, please pick soon. I think it would be cool to get to 2 of these regional meets since I will obviously be going to the Chicago meet. Thanks and I can't wait!

anyweekend will work for me just as long as i can leave friday night and come back home on sunday so who is in charge of this wee need to set a date but no big hurry after all its still 3 months away
