Hondalink features

My 30,000 foot questions, what all can I do via Hondalink? I have a GM with Onstar, that is my only point of reference.
I pretty much played with Hondalink phone to car, I more curious is there are any satellite services, besides siriusxm. I don't need that.
I see ads where it talks about remote start and/or door unlock. I guessing that is only in 2018 models? Can a 2016 be upgraded someday?
Those kind of questions.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Using the https://hondalink.honda.com/#/compat...&model=Odyssey link and selecting different years and models, I think I see a pattern.

Pricing
Basic - Complimentary
Link - Complimentary
Security -12 months complimentary- $89 / year after complimentary period
Remote - 3 months trial - $110 / year after trial
Concierge - 3 months trial - $260 / year after trial -*Includes Remote Package

I got the same results using 2016 Civic Sedan and my VIN#.
Looks like all we have is Basic and Link. The Security, Remote, and Concierge did not show up until 2018 Odyssey.

So looking at Basic:
Recall notifications
Find out if your vehicle is involved in a recall, and quickly schedule an appointment to make the necessary repairs.
Service Appointments
Find a Honda dealer near you and easily book a service appointment.
Parking Reminder
Save your parking location and get walking directions back to your vehicle. You can also set a timer to remind you when the meter runs out.
Roadside Assistance
24-hour Roadside Assistance is available to you in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico for the duration of your warranty term.

The only thing that looks interesting is Parking Reminder. I wonder how it works.

Now to look at the Link
Dashboard
Check the mileage and fuel range right in your app.
Favorites
Save locations to your app to quickly send it to your navigation system.
Send Destination
Search and send a location from your app to your vehicle's navigation system.
*Requires In-Vehicle Navigation System

I would like to understand all of these. At least now I have a skeleton to attach information to.

Meanwhile I come up with some new questions, can a 2016 Civic software be upgraded to fee based features?
