2021 sport wheel upgrade

Hello everyone, new to the forum and was needing some information on wheel fitment, I have a sport with 18" wheels and I would like to go to 16 or 17 for a better ride, are there any known issues or concerns? I haven't ask but does anyone know if this would affect the warranty?

thanks

You may not be able to go as low as a 16, but you should be able to go with a 17. Aside from it looking a bit strange, you should be fine. It’ll only void warranty if the wheels contribute to some failure (ie premature trans wear based on improper wheel size). Just be mindful of that when picking a set out and make sure it’s within spec of the factory setup.

If you’re looking for a comfortable ride, I probably would have gone with the touring trim.

Re: 2021 sport wheel upgrade

Shouldn't have any issues. Some trims came with stock 16s (16x7 et45 with 215/55R16 tires) and others with 17s (17x7 et45 with 215/50R17). Sport trims don't have fancier or bigger brakes or different suspension than the LX/EX trims. Neither do the hatchback vs coupe/sedans, so you're good there, if that's the case.

If changing wheels voided warranties, the automotive world would have a fit. Dealership would have to prove that the part caused the issue to be able to void that part of the warranty

Thanks for the replies, I believe I will go with the 17 that should help the ride some.
