2017 SI Horn Upgrade

Hello,
going to upgrade the horns on my 2017 SI. My question is: do I need to remove the whole bumper, or can I remove the cover where the fog light is mounted? (The horns are right behind the cover. I think the cover comes off, but not sure how. Thank in advance.

Re: 2017 SI Horn Upgrade

There is a way to pop that foglight grille off, but at the moment, the method of how to escapes me. I know there are like.. 4 clips along the top and 3 on the bottom, and if you're not careful, you can break them off. IIRC, you have you take the bottom splash guard off or something.. I'll look it up later since I wanna change the wimpy *** horn out of my '18 sport hatch (and we have the same front bumper).

Re: 2017 SI Horn Upgrade

Depending on the horn you go with tho, you may want to consider just taking the bumper off for more clearance to work with. I've personally been looking at the Hella twin trumpet horn

collegehillshonda has an adapter to make it an easy swap

Re: 2017 SI Horn Upgrade

College Hills Honda has an upgrade kit that comes with to Wolo horns and plug and play adapters. Probably will go with those. Found this on You Tube, to get those covers off.

Re: 2017 SI Horn Upgrade

Just completed this horn upgrade. For anyone interested, the College Hills Honda upgrade kit worked out nicely. It came with two Wolo Full Blasts, and the adapters to use the factory wiring. Sounds more like loud SUV horn now. Cost was like $35. The horns are bigger, but you can manipulate them on the factory bracket to fit. Fog light cover was a PITA to get off. I suggest watching some of the You Tube videos on it. There is one in my above post, but there are better videos out there.
