random thought...

... Ok I'm not gunna take action on this 'cause I have tons of stuff goin' on (not to mention the lack of a civic anyways) but anyways...

I was talkin' to a friend of mine from St. Louis and she mentioned that it only takes 3 hours to get to Peoria. Takes 3 from Chi-town too. JUST THINKIN' that it may be kinda cool to do a meet in Peoria so people from St.L and Chi. can all meet. Unfortunately I'm not sure what there is to do around P-town when it comes to cruisin'. I mean there are bars and stuff (and Big Al's... for those who like that kinda thing) but otherwise I'm kinda clueless. There are a few guys in the area who may know what there is to do, but honestly I'm not sure there is much.

Regardless it was just a random thought that I figured I'd throw out on the table.
Gotta run. Lates,

Rachel

eh, 3 hours from St.L? I'm quite skeptical... It takes 3 hours from St.L to Springfield, IL, and that route is the most heavily patrolled section of interstate in IL. Speeding on that stretch will get you a ticket. I think I saw at least 10 squad cars, 3 cars pulled over. In fact, one car that had just passed me (I think she was going like 5 mph faster than me) got pulled over. I saw the squad car in the opposite lane dive into the median to turn around and pull her over!

err, in summary, St. Louis to Peoria is probably more like 6 hours. IMO.

Besides, I'm not a fan of BigAls (or similar) and I don't gamble. besides, I'm lazy...

oops, well it felt like a really long drive from Bloomington-Normal to St. L.
The strong police presence thing is true though.

yeah both 55 and 57 are pretty bad as far as cops go 'cause they're the 2 major routes through IL... and i definitely know about the long drive thing... made my first trek from peoria to carbondale (SIU) and it felt 3 times as long the way there, and much much longer the way back.

but no need to worry about cops if you don't speed or have a radar detector (although those don't work all the time).

another thing to watch out for in general on those 2 roads is if you have tint you may get pulled over for it. greg did once (yeah, on a HIGHWAY!!). it's prob because since those are the 2 major roads thru IL... the whole drug trafficking thing... yeah.

sorry... random bunches of info. don't ask.
