Takin off your rims?
I've read a lot of people in New England are taking off their rims for the winter. It snows every once and a while here in St. Louis I was wondering if you guys took off your wheels for the winter here? Thanks

my 18's (shouldnt have ordered them now but did) will be here in a week or so, ill put them on for a week and then my car goes bye bye for the winter.....so yea, technically, mine are off for winter
I live in Murray KY, close to IL and TN borders and my 18 inch chromes are coming off the day after Thanksgiving. For Good. I'm selling them and getting some rims where I can actually have some sidewall. I know It doesn't look as hot, but the roads in KY are **** and I'm gonna scream if I lose one more tire to a pothole this year. Total lost so far: 3 tires and 2 neon lights, and I swerved to avoid the damn things! The rims thank God are perfectly fine, no damage from the craters in the road, but the tires all got shredded.

Am I the only person that leaves their good wheels/tires on during the winter...? As long as you clean them once a week and keep them waxed they'll be fine....I've had a total of 8 sets of wheels on the 3 cars I've had and have never taken them off during the winter...I've never experienced any problems.....although I dont stick to a set of wheels for very long so maybe thats why...

Took my good ones off 3 weeks ago. Not sure why, I've got all seasons on them. I think its just because I'm afraid of sliding into a curb with 300 dollar rims, the salt doesn't really bug me too much, the put up with brake dust all summer which is prolly worse. Either way, my stockers are back on (Gunmetal 2000 Si Wheels) and I still get to roll in style all winter
I'm also going to pull my 22mm sway bar off the back, with the hopes of keeping the car pointed the right direction down the road.

Yeah I have had mine on for 2 winters here but this year I have decided to take them off. Looking at them and talking to the tire and wheel guys with the rain, rock and moisture here all winter better off running stock. Plus with the parking situation with my new job I would hate to curb one of them UGGG.
