anyone in STL willing for install?

Hi, Im in the STL area and am considering buying new springs -- but DO NOT want to pay $200+ for install at a shop. If anyone is close I'll pay for the install - hit me back if anyone is interested

where are the shops in st. louis? I just decided to get into modding cars in the past two months and really have no idea where a good performance shop is, I was thinking there's a good one in south county but I don't know where?

There are several shops that Ive been to in South County and elsewhere. Here are the shops that I know of:

1) Showcase Custom Automotive - South County
(expensive installation prices--told me they'd have to give me a price on installation once they started on the install but that it would be at least 150.00, TO ME this means they wanted to screw me)

2) Fantasy Coachworks - South County
(The main guy that owns/operates/works here is an ***, and treats customers as though they are a bunch of morons. I've heard this from SEVERAL people. In addition he wanted 200.00+ for installation)

3) Adrenaline - Saint Peters Area
(These guys are awesome, very friendly and from what I have seen have the lowest install prices, they quoted me 150.00. Only problem is they are about 35 minutes away from me.)

Anyone know anything more about the above 3 places or want to add any places I didnt cover?

their is like 2 more.
One is near Mid-River Mall.
- It is call Extreme Motorsport. They do spring pretty cheap, i think. From what my friend told me.
- LightSpeed Hi-Performance. Down at Olive @ 170. They are pretty good at what they do. I think they mostly mess w/ engines. (only the owner does, others are dumb as $hit).

if I had $150 to spend on it, i'd go and have someone come w/me then just go hangout or go home for a bit, unless the install was only gonna take an hour or so..
I dont really regret DIYing mine since I had lots of help, but having a shop do it, if you trust them gives u a good piece of mind plus $150 isnt terrible for that kinda work, $100 seems a little more fair, but I'd deal w/$150 if I had no help to do a DIY..
but then again, we had to drill mine, and that took some time..

Dizaam, Mid-Rivers Mall? that seems even farther away from me. I was at Mid-Rivers about a month ago with a friend (I didnt drive) and it took us about 40-45 minutes to get back from there. I have not heard of either of these 2 places -- maybe I'll check these two places out...

As for where Im at on friday and saturdays? Usually at home with the fiance' not doin sh*t -- I dont know about you all but I lead a very boring life at this point in time....

Anymore places anyone knows of? I'll probably call these two places..The only issue I have, is that I RARELY can just drop my car off and have someone pick me up and take me back -- so if I have to wait on it....thats like 4-5 hours or more, no thanks. Guess I'll be having to work something out if I want this done badly enough.

Im also still considering what brand/type of suspension setup I want...on limited cash.

I go out and kickit on friday's and saturdays usually there's a party or something (I'm a college kid :P) My stomping grounds consist of U-City Clayton and Richmond Heights mostly, sometimes I go down into the city. I go to "raves" too so yeah that's usually where I'm at.

wow totally just called fantasy coachworks to see how much it would cost to install my new gc coilovers, and they quoted me at a cheap $300. Called up Lightspeed and they said 180 so I'll probably be going there, sorry for ressurecting this dead thread.

Hang on a sec! I actually took my car to lightspeed just 1.5 weeks ago to have this done...I honestly dont think they did the install correctly..everytime I hit a bump on the right side of my car there is a loud banging noise....from the passenger side wheel well....just starting making that noise today actually...kind of ironic...
They are affordable at 180.00...however I have had experience between them and Adrenaline (st. charles) and I would much rather deal with adrenaline any day of the week...my quote from adrenaline was 200.00....I wanted to save 20.00 though...

chrisleecool has a spectacular aura aboutchrisleecool has a spectacular aura about
Lightspeed quoted my friend $150
Extreme Sport (st.peters) Quoted me $200
when I was back in st.louis.
most of the shops will install springs for around $150~$200.
If I had the time, I'd install them myself looking at the DIY from this site, I've heard
it isn't so hard to do. Do It Yourself if you have time

I will say that it took them longer for the install of my H&R springs...than lightspeed for my full coilover setup..but they did a better job I believe.

go get a spring compression tool (autozone probably has one you can "borrow" for free), and do this yourself. it'll be fun

Dishwasher, I might be able to help you if you were gonna DIY this. I had a big hang-up because of something beyond my control, but it took around four hours.

I couldn't bring tools though, so that might be an issue.

...no more than a day of work. a lazy day. once you get the strut assembly out, it's cake to switch springs and reassemble (but be careful, those springs hold a lot of force, use the right tool!!!). the rears are even easier. and if you have access to a lift, well

I just did my install today with the help of a couple of buddies and it took us right around 6 hours that includes somking and going out to get a new tool. We used this wright up the only difference is we used a spring compresser and a tie rod/pitman puller.
